haha I remember the first TA’s I met were Redeye & Twilogoddess from NYC… we went to club space for PVD and I was rolling so hard, I put my head down on the bar and it looked like I was sleeping. lol Ian grabbed my neck was like, “are you ok?”
“yea just let me lay here”
“ur laying on the bar”
“oh..” *lifts head up and started dancing*

i've met tons of people IRL after knowing them from online, starting way back in the AOL days when i was 14.
i met my 2nd serious boyfriend online, and he is the reason i moved from NY to Wisco 3 years ago. we dated for 5 years and are broken up now but we still remain good friends.
i also met one of my very best friends online 6 years ago, through a personals site (weak i know, what can i say, i was 15 and dumb). he is still in NY but we talk at least a few times a week and we keep each other updated on everything that is going on in our lives. he's probably one of the few people in this world that know EVERYTHING about me.
i also met an entire slew of freaks, weirdos, players, clingers, s, and generally ed up people. i'm trying to think of the best story because there are just tooooo many to list. ok, this one dude i met online, he was a bouncer at a club in a city about 40 min north of where i lived, and just a totally sketchy character, but i was a fearless teenager who was attracted to the "bad boys"... so we agree to hang out and he picks me up at a Dairy Queen. he starts driving out into the country/mountains and i'm like "umm where are we going?" and after arguing about it for a while he agrees to drive to a park near the downtown area instead. so he parks the car and says to me "oh don't worry about that case in my backseat, that's just my gun"... i just kind of brushed it off like he was kidding, but then he tried putting the moves on me which i was not cool with, plus i got really worried that it could be a real gun, so i finally got super mad and upset and just told him he better take me back to my car. he complied, and needless to say, i never spoke to him again. when i told my friends the story (3 huge black dudes who were way protective of me) they went up to his house and "talked" to him about his disrespectful actions... lol, i still don't know the entire story behind that one, they refuse to tell me.
i've also met lots of TAs... they're really the only people that i care to meet IRL that i meet online. plus i don't really meet people anywhere else online.
but the best story is that i met my current boyfriend through TA :D
jamie - good luck with the apartment search! i also just went through the same ordeal w/ my ex, so i am moving into my new place Aug 15th! can't wait!!! |

If memory suits me, we met for the very first time at PvD @ Space, November 2004. Right next to the main DJ booth. :)
Sara.... Probably at WMC? Remembering the times I've hung out with Sara is always a little hazy. :toothless
Now for a story...
Met this girl online that went to UGA. A very attractive blonde raised in south GA. A story about a big city Yankee meeting a tiny town southern girl. We dated for almost a year but sadly she was extremely maniac depressive and finally I couldn't deal. I still think about her from time to time wondering how she is. |

Yea, do u remember hearing a loud “CRACK” against the dance floor (shortly after i met you and arturo) and seeing a bouncer pick up this dark haired chick and swing her over his shoulders and start heading for the exit?
Yea, that was my girlfriend almost OD-ing. She got a concussion from that fall…we had to leave and then when she snapped out of it right outside of space, she had no recollection of falling inside the club and she insisted that she was fine…so we went to crobar the rest of the night. lol
Oh my god that sucked…right as my roll was kicking in, she drops to the floor and starts convulsing…I was like, “holy she’s going to die, this isn’t happening oh my god…” |

If TA's count.......i met all the ATL TA's online before knowing them in person :wtf:
plus Pete K from TN
The Peach from MI
a -ton of Florida TA's....
Some COTA's as well.
I met a bunch of random people at the TA dinner at WMC.
So i've probably met more than a 100 TA's from online.
ummmmmmmm.......i have yet to meet a few essential c0r wh0res, but all in due time ;)

Set up a meet up before an event in your local forum, thats what we NYTA's do. |
