yup DC is a town full of rich brats and business ppl. If you dont own a business or your parents dont work for the government, youre pretty much worthless. JUST KIDDING. But you know, that type of happens everywhere, just not to the same degree though. You can either let that get to you and ruin your night, or you can ignore it, mind your own business, and have fun.
Its a double edged sword. Some ppl think DC ppl are snobby and unfriendly. Other ppl see DC as ppl that mind their own business and dont bother you. Just because me and you are on the metro and i dont say hi doesnt mean im snobby.

not much for electronica in tampa. the big bad and hyped up amp in ybor city sucked ass. only when they have a big star there is it any good. then there's the not to well-known Underground. HUGE, but not a lot of people on friday night. nice musik, and u can do whatever u want. if u want to glowstick, go ahead, get ed up, go ahead, break dance, go ahead, nobodies going to stop you. |

The crowd at nation is WEAK. It is full of has-been ravers still desperatley clutching onto the past, and stupid frat boys trying to score. I'd say maybe 10% of the people there are actually worthwile.
I think most of my dislike for DC comes from the fact that I have lived here my entire life and frankly, I'm just getting BORED of the same thing. |
It sounds like maybe if you sorted out your apparent personal issues, you could meet worthwhile and honest friends wherever you go (like many other people do.) I've met friends through other friends whom I met in and/or around DC, whether it was from following random people to after-parties or just getting their numbers in the club. , I first started going to DC because of a girl I met on the internet many years ago, who lived in NoVa but worked in DC. (yes, AOL was good for something) Dude, there are some very decent people out there, if you only give them a chance to be.
I've been around much the U.S. and can say that although the east coast (especially DC) is more uptight than the 99% of the west, there is diversity in people no matter where you are unless it's some small town in the middle of nowhere. I mean, the most glamorous destinations in the U.S. (LA, Hollywood, Miami, Aspen & Vail Colorado, Hamptons of NY, etc.) often have the fakest, most superficial people, but it's pretty much fact that there are many good people there as well.
Screw it, it's not even worth fighting about - just continue to be miserable in a place where so many others are having a killer time! (and I hope for your sake that you try to enjoy yourself when Carl Cox comes to Nation!)

If you get pissed off just because of the fact you get ID-ed when ordering alcohol then you've got frustration issues.
I say move to South Dakota where you might be able to get more p00tang mega easily from Turkeys or any form of wild life.
It feels as if you have no class, no self respect and much less of a clue as to how to meet new people .... heck complaining cause you can't get an easy shag goes to show how lowly you are.
