Some people/trance mp3 sitez etc. use anti-leech systems.

Do you think they are good?
* Stop people from link stealing
* Therefore less leechers and faster dl speed 4 users
* Servers less likely to go down
* etc.

Do you think they are bad?
* Link stealers can get around them any way - your only inconveniencing innocent users
* There aren't that many link stealers around
* etc.

Well i dont use dj mixes 2k coz it has it, i dont really like using ie to download coz it normaly disappears at about 96%, so in that way i think it is bad for 56k users.

But when it comes to the big guys, downloading at 800k a sec, and using download accelarators, and link stealing. It is good.

And also like i know to well, it also stops ftp's being wiped, like my borrowed one. oh well

Doesnt matter to me, if it keeps the page alive longer, go for it.

flystyler: There is a download manager (Netpumper or something) that
supports resuming with anti-leech, worth checking out.

they have a good diea with anti-leech, and it's taken them a long way... but they need to step it up, because they're little java applet, has no right taking up 100% of my cpu. i voted bad, because of this single thing. it needs to be fixed, and fixed NOW!
Maaz

I don't like it. It's usually fast for me but the Java applets often crash my browser and I never get anything.
