the best way to explain it (i think) is that you get a bunch of friends (usually no less than 8 and no more than 12) together.. and you have about 15+ rounds of selecting football players that you think will perform good. ex: payton manning is one of the best QBs, he would most likely be the first QB selected and most likely in the first round, but only ONE person can have payton manning. anyway, after everyone has selected their players you have head to head matchups every week against each other's teams. the team with the most points wins. points are determined by the players' performances the people have selected. (ex: payton manning's 400 yd 5TD game = $$$$$$, kerry collin's 100 yd 3 interception game = bad points :( )
