Dear TAS ofNY, i am comung to NY for a period of for months, and am looking for a place where to stay with cool people.
Exactly:
looking for a place in the middle of SEPTEMBER near Park Ave-manhattan
$350 flexible, $550 max
temporary/sublets/apt shares/housesitting/work-trade/long.
I'm open to anything! would be even interested in some au pair opportunities.
A little background story: i am coming to NY for 4 months stage; am european myself, great traveller, love reading and partying. Am keen on arts, sociology, motorbikes and good food!
I will be able to provide references if necessary, and any other background or financial information you might need.
About myself:
I'm 24 years old, easygoing, bubbly personality, fun.
In terms of an ideal roommate, I'm pretty flexible.
What I'm looking for:
A private bedroom in an apartment or house in/around/near Manhattan - Park AVE.I'm currently in italy, so if you are willing to get in touch with me via phone/email, it would be Great, so we might finda way to deal about my staying in NY and practical details.
As long as you're cool, fun, open-minded, easy-going, considerate, easy to talk to, and have a sense of humor, I think we'd get along.
Thanks for reading!!
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Can U help me somehow my DEAR NY TAS???ciao ciao for now |
Welcome to the ny-apartment/room search. warning: you may experience some high tension, stress, emotional instability, violent behavior,etc...:stongue: :stongue:
Seriously i just found a place after 2 months of searching that finally i liked in the west village. i would recommend increasing your budget or looking for other parts because that money wont get you too much in manhattan unless you go to harlem:nervous: |

Since I am having the WORST time getting a place (and school starts in 4 weeks!) :nervous: I am using this thread as well.
My budget is $1500 but I just don't want a godforsaken realtors fee....
the realtors I have gone to do not accept private student loans as income, so I am getting turned down due to my LACK of income...anyone know a landlord willing to accept money straight from the bank? LOL
PLEASE help me out....
to KristinA: these guys give good advice...use craigslist.org for sublets and increase your budget big time for park ave. :) :) |

| craigslist is probably far more effective than TA... i got a room in an apartment for $900 on craigslist. you will be lucky if do better than $800/mo for a share in manhattan. |
