Dear TAS ofNY, i am comung to NY for a period of for months, and am looking for a place where to stay with cool people.
Exactly:
looking for a place in the middle of SEPTEMBER near Park Ave-manhattan
$350 flexible, $550 max
temporary/sublets/apt shares/housesitting/work-trade/long.
I'm open to anything! would be even interested in some au pair opportunities.
A little background story: i am coming to NY for 4 months stage; am european myself, great traveller, love reading and partying. Am keen on arts, sociology, motorbikes and good food!
I will be able to provide references if necessary, and any other background or financial information you might need.
About myself:
I'm 24 years old, easygoing, bubbly personality, fun.
In terms of an ideal roommate, I'm pretty flexible.
What I'm looking for:
A private bedroom in an apartment or house in/around/near Manhattan - Park AVE.I'm currently in italy, so if you are willing to get in touch with me via phone/email, it would be Great, so we might finda way to deal about my staying in NY and practical details.
As long as you're cool, fun, open-minded, easy-going, considerate, easy to talk to, and have a sense of humor, I think we'd get along.

I dont think you can get a place for 550 around park ave or anywhere in manhattan. for that price you need to try outskirts of manhattan like queens or brookyn. As one TA mention try www.craigslist.org, Good Luck. |

Please post a pic of yourself..if you are hot, im sure many people will open their doors to you....j/k...LOL...
Its gonna next to impossible to find a place for that cheap anyhwere in the greater NYC area, unless you want to live in the basmemnt of a chinese restaurant....subletting might be the way to go...and def try

| Your best bet is to find a room not an apt. Check out Chelsea, Soho and East Village areas. Very hip and usually a bit cheaper then something like Park Ave. |
