At regular clubs when you approach a girl they automatically assume that you're trying to pick them up or something and give you attitude. But at EDM clubs I find girls friendlier and more open to convos. Maybe it's just the recognition factor.

Anybody, anywhere, tends to be pretty friendly when you show a sincere interest in them, unless they believe you to have ulterior motives.

Clubs are the worst example of human social interaction because simply being there in the first place usually indicates an ulterior motive (getting laid/getting drunk/buggered/etc.). Afterhours clubs are only marginally better because people are more friendly when they're rolling their faces off.

I would have to disagree. Most girls actually all random girls i've met at regular clubs were not out to get drunk and or trying to get laid. Most were out from the boonies, brampton, hamilton, ajax so on, that don't go out all that often and do so just to have a good time with their friends.

That is true to a degree. At guv, I've visually/orally surveyed the percentage of drugged up people by their sex. Pretty much every time, the percentage of females on something was higher than male.

For example:
Female - 8/10
Male - 6/10

This survey was for drugs and not alcohol.

I want to see one of you guys go to the bar with all the barbies at the Guv (the one under the DJ booth and to the right of it by the entrance to the Orange Room), try talking to them and then tell me that EDM girls are nicer...come on. Although actually those girls are VERY nice in terms of their personalities...but you have to know them to realize that...otherwise you'll get the same attitudes.

LOL... nice one Beh!! :toothless

Moral Hazard
The attitude you receive has a lot to do with your own game. I have no problems meeting people and chatting to them without receiving attitude whether it be at an EDM club or otherwise. I seem to have a very disarming demeaner about me so when I start talking the guard usually comes down quite quickly. It's all about building a rapport and doing so within the first few seconds of conversation. Once the rapport is there the attitude disapears. The reason women in the EDM scene seem to have less of an attitude is because the communal feel of the scene creates an instant repport... we all relate to each other because we share a common interest.

In toronto maybe.... but pretty much anywhere else ive ever been its very easy to meet all kinds of people at a club or party. And drugs are hardly a factor like they are here at dance music events. It used to be like that at most places here as well. I dont know what went wrong. Thats why i still prefer certain places and certain nights since its easier to talk to people (and the music is good).
