| wow.. I've been watching the CP24 stream and I can't believe what a dick that guy Gorgio is. What surprises me even more is that most of the callers are for it. Jayx1, I'm sure you'll have a lot to say about this one. |

Man i had an 11 o'clock curfew when i was that age... it blew major
its too bad the little punk-ass bitch kids have to ruin it for the rest of the bunch... oh well though.. less ppl in the city streets at night could a good thing i guess...
but exactly how are they going to moniter this? a bunch of cops on every block all over toronto?? that will just ruin the nightly fun for everybody!

| legislated curfews are more or less not enforced. Normally they only exist so that an additional charge can be laid if someone is caught commiting a crime after the time of said curfew. |

| you know what as an adult id love to see no kids on the streets, but if i look back at this through my 16 and under eyes, id probably shoot myself if i was forced to go to school everyday and then when i have free time to enjoy myself i have to sit at home! this is really stupid! |

But cops can use it to unfairly target certain groups. |

That depends on one's definition of unfair. |

Most of the 16 year old kids you run into on the street after 11 are little punks. Servs them right. I know it's not representative of all of them, but this is the way things go. Those few bad (well it's more than a few) will impact the non-vocal 'normal' ones. |

Really doesn't matter to me if this passes or not... but seriously, what are kids under 16 doing downtown TO past 11 anyways? They can't go to any bars or clubs. Honestly, nothing good can come of a 14 year old being out that late standing on the streets of Toronto...
And what exactly do you mean they can target a specific group for crimes? What would be the point of targetting this age group?? It wouldn't be worth the judicial system's time or energy to go on a hunt for 16 year olds commiting crimes. There's more important things to worry about... so why not just eliminate the temptation to cause trouble to begin with? |

I totally disagree.
This is a democracy; parents should be taking responsibility for their kids, not the city enforcing such a law. We are not in a dictatorship.
How quickly does one forget that they were 15 not too long ago?!
It's at times like this that I really miss Montreal... :( |
