I think it's safe to say pretty much all TOTAs are in it for the music and not just the drugs. But some other people I run into at club... different story. :nervous:

Some people may only like the music while on drugs but I would say there is a larger percentage that find the music is just taken to a higher level while on the drugs.

Right on! ^5. I totally agree that when your at the club you tend to hear the music at a certain level that only increases your enjoyment. It's true I've never gone to the guv/system/cz sober but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the music, I think I'm in the know when it comes to the different type of genres, artists, songs maybe not as much as some TAs hear but still in the know. Besides, ever sit beside someone on the bus/subway at 7am while there headphones are blaring house music, no? Well then you never sat beside me :P

i've had this struggle with myself, and realized that the music provides a state of euphoria by itself... REALITY CHECK! :P

Don't agree (even though I party w/o drugs anymore save for on certain rare circumstances -- 2 or 3 times a year now).

Why don't I agree? Because I agree with what was stated in these two posts:

And as well: If I listen to trance when in my car, when sitting at my computer, when walking to work, when I am getting drunk, or even when just relaxing outside or inside, you cannot say I am not in it for the music.

Even if EVERY SINGLE ING TIME I whent out to Guvernment or Boa or CZ and I did a load of drugs, there is NO WAY you can say I don't enjoy the music -- the times when I listen to trance or house when I am NOT high prove that I would still be partying even if the drugs didn't exist! That I would happen to do drugs only means that I enjoy the experience that much more (as ppl have said). And by saying that I would "enjoy the experience more" does not mean I do not recognize that the music itself is a rapture and euphoria on it's own... it's a matter of wanting to attain and experience an even BETTER euphoria by adding drugs to the mix. Taking drugs is a cots-benefit analysis situation -- ie. TO YOU, is the danger/risk/side-effects/sketchiness of doing drugs WORTH the extra it brings in your music appreciation, colour vividness, your whole general club experience, etc.

And for some, maybe doing drugs does not improve their experience in any way, then fine, of course they'd have no reason to want to do them. But for many and most, doing drugs DOES improve their experience, and simply because it does, you cannot say that "they were never going for the music! :whip: :whip:

BUT! i worded as "if u can't ENJOY a party sober".... i didn't say to go sober all the time.... i just feel sometimes it makes for a totally different experience, i was surprised how much fun it was the first time, but i also do drugs so i wasn't saying it to be judgemental... i just meant if u go to a party sober and leave the night all pissed and didn't have fun.... something's wrong!
