Dude, that sucks ass!!!

I would have disowned my sis if she pulled some crap like that, then put sugar in the GC salesman's gas tank.

edit: The DJX-700 was my first mixer as well. I have to say the most annoying thing is the fact the upfaders cut in around 7. I always got so frustrated when I was practicing because the sound was horrible, yet when I would mix on my friend's DJM-500, I did well enough. I'm sure you can find a solid mixer with better upfaders for about the same. You don't need the extra stuff...you may not even use it.

I actually got booked at a club in May here in San Antonio and they had one there (LOL). After using it I can say I don't hate it as much, but I'm so used to playing with better mixers now that I prefer to not use a djx-700.

Your views are soooo biased!!

------

My mate brought his round the other day - which he got for £120. It's his first mixer so you can't complain really.

When he took it out I realised that it’s huge! Its roughly the size of the djm600 (being a imitation of it). We spun a couple of tracks hooked up to my (new) Mackie speakers. Yes the sound quality from the mixer was average. Nothing like the Allen & Heath or Rane… The cross fader is quite nice, (got a 500,000 guarantee before it bleeds) the cuts are...amazing - for the price. Much better than my Numark DM1002MKII mixer. It almost completely cut out the bass/mid/treble.

It’s also got an effects function. Its ok though you can’t adjust the depth of each effect, just the volume + it’s got a BPM (which you shouldn't pay attention too)

In my opinion it’s deffo one of the best in its price range! I would have taken it over the dm1002mkII anyday!

At the end of the day mate, its up to you, everyone has there own personal opinion. Try it out for yourself. Don't make up your mind by what others are saying though, do take it into consideration apart from 2 letter words - "stay away" :toocool:

You are an gimp. Straight up.

Oh, and if you'd like me to post proof that I actually OWNED one of these things, I'd have no problem with that.

The fact of the matter is, this mixer is utter garbage. The sound quality is bad, the faders are loose, and the effects are a joke. There are FAR better entry level mixers....

Edit: Oh, and for the record, my "bias" is only based on my use of this piece of trash... So I think it's more than fair.

I've been using mine for almost 2 years now, upgrade comming soon. To give you a better idea then most people in this thread. For the price its not that bad, dont expect too much. The curves are hard, the effects suck, and sound quality is average. I just lost the right channel of 3 but its been 2 years of hard use on it. If you just want to mix at home, grab it. You get what you payfor tho.

I'm not trying to make fun, or say anything negative about you bro, but this is not at all a quality piece of equipment...

i have been playing for about on yr so i been tight on cash i started with a numark cdmix1 then got turntables and use the cdmix1 mixerfor the tables it only had 1 bass control,1 treble and 1 middle so this Behringer 4 channel with seperate bass controls is amazing 2 me:)

this email is not to get on anyone's case whatever their choice in using a behringer product is..

i've used a behringer, true not the djx 700.

now even if you purchased the djx 700 because of the money and you believe that it's worth the money, when the pieces used in its manufacturing process are garbage...not only the effects and that it's been copied after the djm 600 (which in my opinion is a great mixer, to bad it's so pricey)...and as someone else mentioned it's a beginner mixer...well should a beginer learn to beat match, learn how best use the faders and his cdjs or tt's?
the effects shoudln't even be used until he gets the basics of mixing down, therefore how is having cheap effects on the behringer making the product worth it's money? shoudln't a allen & heath xone 02, would be a better investment? yes probably a bit more expensive, but now you're playing with something better...anyhow i understand why someone wouldn't spent so much money on something (after all i didn't) but it's always an option...

there are other brands out there, that have quality mixers, that will hold their ground when learning...
anyhow we all have to learn one way or another, but i still don't see how the mixer in question is worth the money? when you'll still have to pay for a decent mixer soon after you learn?

Seriously, Out of everyone here that disses the djx, how many people have actually used it? So the effects may be a little weak, but thats why they invented FX proccesors, why should you expect AMAZING sounding effects on a mixer anyway?, its not their purpose, buy a Kaoss Pad 2 if you want effects. As for the crossfader, its personal preference on whether or not you like it loose, or a bit more rigid. I've tried many different beginner mixers and so far i've found it to be the best value for money to quality ratio, obviously at one stage I intend to upgrade when i'm a better dj , but till then i'm more than content using the DJX700...

have you touched any other mixers?

i've used behringer equipment, but not the djx, and i'm not happy with them...i do not agree it's best value for the money.

as long as you're happy with your purchase, that's great...but my point is...the extra adds on are not worth being there, when the effort from behringer would have been better spent in getting better quality for thei knobs and faders, instead of adding effects on the board...since as you said you'll buy an efx anyhow...
ZeJayMan
i've had a try of all the desktop numark mixers up to the dxm06, a completly rotten Kam starter mixer and the ministry of Sound starter mixer, which was only slightly better than the Kam while i was browsing to buy a BEGINNER mixer, so i mean, getting the djx was a sensible choice, I'm not a good enough DJ to spend 750 quid on an Allen & Heath mixer, but i've had the djx for a while now and i dont feel ripped off after paying 125 for it. There will be a Kaoss Pad in the post soon enough to amend the pretty diabolical effects though, except delay number 29, which is trippy and rather nice... :p

ZeJayMan
Oh yeah, and almost complete kills in a mixer under 150 quid, bonus...

i bought the numark dm1002mkii off of dj_darroch, & im now using that instead of my djx which iv had for more than a year now until my ecler mixer arrives!

its in pish! the faders are e, effects are e and the sound quality is unbeleivably bad.

for 100-200 quid i think there are much much better options available.

& whats the in point in waistin money buyin a djx with the effects if you have an external effects processor? why not go for somethin which doesnt have the effects but does have better sound quality, faders and cue!
