Surface Atlanta
How about we do this in the meantime.

Since Surface & Liquified are doing the majority of the shows can we have our own sticky for all of our upcoming events, then two weeks out for the smaller shows create their own specific thread?

For the larger and special events I agree with Devin, one month out would be nice.

Its hard with that one sticky because everyones events are all stuck and get lost. We could clean that up for the other promoters with the one offs and they can use that sticky for their events.

Liquified is doing a majortiy of the shows but Surface is about to have a lot more! As of right now we have 7 dates over a 6 week period. I dont want to be cluttering up this board with event postings so hopefully this might work as a solution.

Thoughts???

Best,
Jonathan Allyn

I KNOW IT IS CRAZY ISN'T IT?!? Look at our whole forum now... No drama! :D

As far as the current topic...
I like the way Scott has his current sticky! I can see at a glance EVERYONES events. Kind of like a compact calender. I think Scott has done a good job of keeping it updated. I see no reason to change that! Post big events a month out if you like. But if it does not get carried on and falls to page 2, then don't bump till three weeks out! Believe me, we all stay in contact and know what is coming around the bend on the party circle... Trying it out can't hurt anyone but if it does fall to page 2, then we know that it was not needed.

On a side note: I do not see where this fear that "people will not know that the event is happening" is coming from! I mean both Jonathan and Devin know a large portion of the TAs. How many times has it ever been posted, "Damn, I forgot that that was happening!" or "If I only knew about it sooner!"? None that I have ever seen! SO until that starts to happen, keep booking the DJs and we will keep discussing your choice of who you are bringing and it will continue on like it currently is. Problem solved! :tongue3 Now time to go read Javi and Mario's drunk thread!
