the forthcoming album from BoC is to be released on 17th october 2005 in europe (18th in america). should be interesting, although old fans will probably not have a hard time getting into it, as i suppose it's not so very different from their previous stuff. not that it's a bad thing. love the artwork, reminds me of MHTRTC.

Warp: "We are extremely proud to announce that Boards of Canada have finished and mastered their new album, to be released in October - their first release since 2002's Geogaddi! The album is very much classic Boards, building on themes and sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip."

Wow, they're still on Warp? I thought all of their old respected artists got sick of their recent musical developments and ed off..

Nevertheless, looking forward to this.

From what I've read, it's good, but compared to most IDM these days, it's generic stuff.

Beware for those of you who like to download mp3s. Every mp3 release of this is fake.

Hope it'll be enjoyable, well since most of BoC stuff is great, this can't be different :]

Since you all like BoC, you should all go to the IDM/Netlabel thread and leech some netlabels. <3

Legit download of "Oscar See Through Red Eye" available from Warp's online store: http://www.bleep.com/?bleep=WARP123BS

Far from generic, I would call it effing amazing. The convergence of minor and major chords and the melodious elements are refreshing. It's more downtempo than anything, in any case.
