It's not the best model one could build, due to my limited budget, but that was the best I could get and it's pretty much what I need for multimedia stuff:
- AMD Sempron +3000 (64bits would be more expensive and not yet necessary)
- DVD Recorder
- Spare CD Recorder (from my current computer)
- 512 Ram memory
- 2 Sound Cards (from my current computer)
- Video Card (soon I'm going to buy a spare one so I can use 2 monitors, w00t)
- MPEG Encoding device (I don't know how to say that in English)
- 80gb Hard drive (and I'm using my current 20gb one as well)
- Some USB sockets in the front
- Hopefully a coffee machine somewhere in the future

If you're putting it together yourself then it'll be worthwhile getting a bigger hard disk, because you can get a 200Gb one for £65 nowadays.

The prices here are a bit different, I imagine - at least in the shops I looked, a 200 gb hard drive was twice as expensive as the one I'm getting :( |

| If you are doing anything multimedia I'd definetely recommend 1GB of ram at least. They are cheap nowadays (~$150 for Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR400 or equivalent). |
