| i love my dxm06. no complaints here. solid mixer. i abuse it like crazy and its still working like the day i got it. not that bad for a mixer worth around 250 |

I've been using my DXM06 for a year now. It's an ok mixer, only minor complaint is that the knobs are too small for my fat fingers. And I don't like button kill switch.
But for the price - as the previous post said - it's a bargin! |

i would go for the pioneer
they're built like tanks, and they have everything you need and nothing you don't
i've played on a few 300's in my day and i'd say it's a good beginner mixer |

id have to say, even with owning a dxm 06, to go with the pio, my faders are crackin on the 06 and it reaally pisses me off.
numark tt500s and ttx, great |

| Speaking of which, I do like the effects on the mixer... Does the 300's do that? And what are the other decent mixers out there comparable to DXM06 (price wise) which gives me the ability to play around with effects? |

effects are a little overrated imo. if you use them sparingly, it's ok, but anything beyond that is just too much. i have a dxm-06 and barely use the effects. i'm not familiar with the pio, but imo, get the more solid mixer music wise...i mean...don't let the "effects" sway you into buy the numark while the pio is a better mixer... |

| Go for an ECLER NUO2....its better quality than both, and cheaper than the Pio...which is a POS IMHO (well, its ok, but nothing special for the price) |

| You might want to take a look at the 707 instead of the 300. |

Just got the DJM-300 very recently. It's a rock solid Mixer and works really well. I strongly strongly advise that if you're a relatively newbie, and/or your beatmixing still needs a bit of work, you go for the DJM-300S. Otherwise you'll become engrossed in FX that make your Mixes sound worse.
The Numarls are renound for leaking crossfaders unfortunately, eventhough they give a really bright, sweet sound. |

why?
does a "leaky" crossfader matter that much when you use the channel gains most of the time? |
