Obviously, I listen to alot of trance-- mostly progressive house. So the question is... what should I get? 2 10in. subs or 1 12in. sub?
I'm sure this has been posted before, but for the sake of a new topic in the CORe, I decided to make a new thread.
Thanks |

2x10" subs is best for trance and progressive. Period.
Just make sure to get a good brand. (JL, Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer Premiere, etc.) |

Already got two 10" with 510W. I ain't overly thrilled these days. My kid's got two 12" with 1400W in his ride. Thinking very seriously to up mine with two more 12" and another 500W or so.

Uh.. Old Rockfords are good (5+ years old), Pioneer ing blows. You can get by as long as you have a decent box, but Pioneer subs are just plain . Those new Rockford Punch subs are too.
Go with JL. Don't go any bigger than 10's though, as Punisher said. 12's are only good for rap with those 808 drums :p 10's can hit hard and fast which is good for EDM. I will even go as far as saying 2x8" JL W0's. A buddy of mine has them with a Rockford amp. All I can say is when I put in a happy hardcore track on his system (I don't care what anyone says.. that has the craziest bass :eyespop: ) and it sounded awesome.
So yeah. Moral of the story is, JL is the :) |

| Install it yourself man, it is a great way to learn so that if something does ever happen to your subs you will be able to (hopefully) fix it. |

Regular Pioneer subs aren't that great, sure... but the Premiere series is incredible for the price. |

| Yeah for sure get to 2 10" subs. They will hit pretty hard, and they have a great response time. Alpine makes really subs and so does kicker. Search ebay, they have some really great deals on subs and amps. |

Be careful buying amps on EBay, though. Do NOT buy a refurb or an open-box model. |
