hmm-- well, ill definitely get 2 10s... now the only problem is how much I can push my budget to get a nice system.
im hoping for some kickers-- but i dont know with my budget. ill post what i got tomorrow |
What's your budget? If you can wait a few weeks, watch the Sunday ads that Best Buy puts out. Every so often, they drop a ridiculous deal on a good amp. I got an 800W mono Pioneer amp for $120 a few weeks ago. |

| turn your headunit to max and turn the gains all the way down and slowly bring them up until your speakers begin to distort and then back it off a little. That way youll never blow your speakers even if you max out volume...are you powering components or just sub off amp? |

Sorta related,
Thinking of getting a sub for my car, problem is its a wagon/estate, which means (obviously) that the sub will be in the cabin. Does this make any difference, as I have heard that subs work better when they are in the boot/trunk cos of the reverb. Do I need a different type of sub or anything? Or anything I need to take into account?
Thinking of getting a single 10" (money issue) and from what people have said here about it being better for trance, and I also listen to a bit of dnb. Or should I stretch to a 12" seeing I'm just getting a single? |

Uh.. Old Rockfords are good (5+ years old), Pioneer ing blows. You can get by as long as you have a decent box, but Pioneer subs are just plain . Those new Rockford Punch subs are too. |
try the power series. much better product than the punch line.
i would try 2 10's as well but i've done a single 12" before and it sounds good for all kinds of music i listen to. the key is to have the right box for it and i personally recommend sealed boxes. |

They're nice, but they're too damned expensive. Especially for their Kappa Perfect series. Those are NOT worth the dough. |

I don't think you'll have to get the larger ones even if that wouldn't hurt but I THINK you will need a different type of box for the subs ..... I forget which one ... :-/ |
