At TranceCritic.com we're having trouble deciding on a reviewing scoring system. I need you guys to give me some insight to which you think is better. Its obvious that this community is larger then mine so their are more opinions here.
We are currnetly using the standard 5-star system.
I'm propusing a 1-10.0 system. More precise. My writers have concerns but some favor it while others are rallying against it.
Whats the take from the people at TA. This is something that I want to get figured out before we implement a new design for a review module. My view is that we are critic's and should look at music more indepth as compared to other sites. I'm also adding into the design a place for readers to vote for the review itself as aswell as the music under the knife(reviewed). I'm also considering have mutiple writers write on the same piece of music.
Input from you guys would be greatly appricated. Thanks. |

| Ye, definately have different point of views on the same piece. Good idea. As for the points, 10 would be much better (5 is too little, and 100 is too much). And lastly, don't have the typical anti-tiesto articles like many other critic groups have, in other words... always remain objective. |

Well sorry to tell you I am looking for either a 5-star OR a 1-10 system. I'm not looking for suggestions for anything new. |

For us it's not about rating art. Its about seperating the good artists from the bad. It's about showing the good artists what the people like and dislike. |

| Everbody has there own tastes. One person could totally love one artist, while another hates them. Rating systems are stupid. |

| The 1-10 system makes people use too much high ratings. A track will be a 6. On the other hand in the 1-5 system people use the lower ratings more often. I prefer 1-5. |
