I agree.. Club 740 is not in the best area in the world. But a lot has been doen to take the O out of that place. Now they just need to work on the sound system! ICK!!!
I do not know what happend with the line situtaion outside but when I got there it there where 4 cluster-s of line. There was clearly no orginazinon... but I dout they had any idea it was going to get that crazy!
I too waited in line for almost an hour. It seemed like the bouncers where letting their friends in and then a very few people that had will call or tickets in hand.. or where willing to pay $50 to get in the door :eyes: I was told to move at the very end of the guest list line.. But I could not move. I was getting pushed and shoved everywhere. One boncer even would let one of the go-go dancers ride in without slipping him a 20!
When I got in the club wasn't even packed.:conf: And the sound system was too LOUD! Second Sun was going to start at 3.. but the power went out for a good 10mints. Please do not blame the promotors for sound issues. Once it got fixed the party got started. :)
I had such a great time! I really enjoyed Second Sun and Matt Darry kicked ass. He took everyone on an epic journy tonight.
The one lesson I learned tonight. If you want to go to After hours get there later.. I see this at AHP too.. Right at 1:30- 2am the line is massive and you will have to wait a long time to get in.. if you get there after it starts there is a good chance you can walk right in...
For those who had tickets and could not get in please contact wanttickets directly and tell them the situation... I don't know if they can help or not.. |

when you are promoting the "official tiesto in concert afterparty" , i would think the promoters would be smart enough to put 2 and 2 together and realize"
HMMM..... we passed out a bizillion flyers, put up hundreds of posters all over the city, drenched TIC with the flyers and posters last night.
they basically had a monopoly on the night, as far as "after parties" went
so... your telling me that after pormoting ONE SINGLE after party at a 10,000+ person event @ a venue that only holds 1500 maxx, that they "had no idea it was going to get that crazy" ?????!!!!!
CMON!!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??
there is NO EXCUSE for how that went down last night. complete disrespect to the customers.i used to go to heaven events once in a while but this topped the cake.
heaven has just lost yet more patrons. |

Last time I was there was over 2 years ago, I have to admit...but from what I'd heard since then, the place hadn't improved much on the inside...I guess it has recently? In the past, describing Orion as a "Dump" would have been doing it a favor!

you do make a valid point. With Such promotions the event should have been ready. But not all 10,000 people where going to go. I am sure there where other after parties and some where Under age.
I am not going to make excuses.. again I have no idea why the lines where so bad. |
