To buy an IPOD or not

Okay, guys this has been in my head for little bit. I heard alot of hype about 4th generation IPOD, at the sametime I hear alot of bad things about IPOD, eg the player will not turn on. So my question is this, should I buy an IPOD or something else?

You have no idea, at my store we had so many returns it was crazy. Most of the complaints had to do with the screens not working or being damaged. |

Me and my gf both have ipods, I can ssure you they are good units... There is always going to be people who hate things just because they are trendy etc....
My best advice is buy the unit that suits you. They all do the same thing in the long run.. But being able to intergrate with itunes is a + for the ipod... |

buy what feels comfortable for you.
i hvae a protective case for my ipod (not the apple case), but something called iSkin.

obviously these things are sensitive gadgets so you want to protect them as best as possible. i guess the people that returned it to the store might've damaged it somehow, and didn't invest in some protection first...
battery life has been pretty good for mine, 7-8 hours on one full charge. but again, shop around definitely :) |

Whats wrong with an Ipod the only thing that competes to me is the Sony mp3 playa the Rio and other ones Ive tried suck
