Hello Roman,
Speaking as someone who was once published in the Charlatan ;) (I assume its still there), the idea of a petition to reduce the # of fwords is pointless.
1) Like it or not, part of the idea of doing that is to give these publications the appearance that they are not constrained by rules of the adult world (i.e. the post university world).
2) Having someone start a petition telling them to stop makes them feel better because it shows how on the "edge" they are because they are upsetting people. In effect the more you get upset, the more likely they are to use the Fword.
At the end of the day university publications will always pretend to be a little more rebellious than mainstream papers. That's the whole friggin idea, so get over it :D |

orthodox christianity. are you referencing protestantism? not many are interested in the subject here. forget debating about orthodoxy and unorthodoxy, argue theism vs. non-theism. im tired of argueing alone all the time.

No of course there is a huge difference (probably had wars over it), and apperntly you can have long arguments over it:

Sorta but not really, in that Russian, Ukranian, Luthuanian, Greek, Syrian, Macedonian, Ethiopian, Alexandrian, etc. churches are "Eastern Orthodox" (is the proper term) in Christian denomination.
That said, and with Eastern Orthodoxy being much more "religiously liberal" than say Roman Catholicism, the content and style of service in individual Eastern Orthodox churches can be quite unique and varied. They can also each have their own Pope.
"Eastern Orthodoxy" is the brand of Christianity that developed in the Eastern Roman Empire (later called Byzantium) after Imperial Rome crumbled. The term probably owes to the "Great Eastern Schism" of 1054 CE between Rome and Constantinople (although problems dividing these factions existed 500 years before the actual schism).
