Just to clear some possible confusion...
"Straight up" = chilled in a shaker or mixing glass and strained of ice and typically served in a chilled martini or cocktail glass
"Neat" = room temperature

| whoooa guys where the hell do you get 100 and 80 percent proof ??? or is it some kind of weird american measuring way ? cuz i know they dont sell like that here or anywhere. the highest i had was like 70% village made serbian vodka and that hits pretty quickly! |

Pretty straight up. My most memorable drinking feat in life. Drink a pint of Everclear - 190 Proof, 95% by volume for you Canucks, and see if you can stand on your hind legs. I did it once, but doubt if I could ever do it again.

There is no such thing as 100% alcohol by volume. 190 proof is the limit.

If you measure percent by volume you don't need a converter. 50% alcohol by volume times 2 equals 100 Proof, and so on...
I take it you ain't a big drinker either, but that's cool. You gotta learn sometime in life....

| no not really, i just drink when i go out and i dont get totally plastered i like to enjoy and have good memories... heh and yeah the multiply by two didnt register with me :D |

You guys tried black absinthe before? I got a bottle in ibiza, it was 80% (160proof) and when you poured it, it was almost like treacle! Absolutely foul stuff.
Also tried some 80% european rum before, that tasted even worse.. |
