Alright, before I do the crazy ones, here's a oldie but goodie:
You're captured by a vicious tribe. And they order you to make a statement. If what you say is true, you will be hanged. If it is false, you will be shot.
What do you say to save your life? |

say "I will not be hanged"
(or is it "i will not be hung" ... whichever grammatically correct response fits...) |

"I will be shot" is the answer, but I guess "I will not be hanged" works too.
This one is Funny:
You have three cups of coffee and forteen lumps of sugar. Sweeten all three cups using an odd number of lumps in each one. (use all the lumps). :p |

If the cups are large enough, I'd pour all the coffee into one, place all the lumps of sugar into it, then redistribute the coffee. |

| You cut it twice from above, then you make a slice from the side |

All of these are old and mad easy. Akridot's was easy because obviously you would go through the math to find out if it was all correct and the cake on was a 5th grade math problem where u cut the circle into 8 piece with 3 cuts...SOMETHING HARD COME ON! :p
I'll give you a silly one I use when i'm stoned because it's funny to see people guess hehe
a guy walks out of his apartment, he lives on the EIGHT floor goes into the elevator, presses 1st floor, gets to the first floor, goes outside. While walking to his car he realizes he forgot his car keys at home. He goes back into the building and presses the SEVENTH floor button, gets out on the seventh floor and goes up the stairs to his floor.
Question: Why didn't he just press the 8th floor right away? |

Because he was a midget.
YOU WANT HARD? Here's a hard puzzle.
Find the product of the following:
(X-a)(X-b)(X-c)...(X-z)
Most people will not get this. |

GRR... If you already know the answer, you're probably aching to say it, aren't you?
:D
edit:Maybe I did, but the message is clear enough. Besides, I don't know of a better way. :p |

The only way one of them men can know for sure what colour their own mark is, is if they can see a red and blue mark on the people sat opposite. Then he knows his own mark MUST be red.
Since all the men are supposedly clever the man who stood up would have expected one of the other 2 men to realise the above fact fairly quickly. Neither of them guessed so he knows that neither of them can see the red/blue combination and since there are at least 2 red marks in total his own mark cannot be blue. So he guesses correctly that his own mark is red.
I think that makes sense |
I thought that at first also, but wouldn't the other man with the red dot see the red/blue combination and have said it also? Why did only one of the men in red who saw the same thing, get up to say it? |
