| Those stories made no sense seeing how no one would just sit there and pray for someone who has been hit by a Mack truck. |

does this apply to every faithfull? also, the parents didn't think she was in a serious condition. On another forum i'm on, one of the mod's died after a few days of intense fever, if that happaned to my kid i wouldn't get medical attention right away either. i do however blame the parents for being a extremely naive. |

So what are you looking for? A scientific study showing prayer has no tangible health benefits?

ah, but what about all the times that people pray and their loved one does indeed feel better?

a wierd article but also applies.
could be taken as serious as a "scientific" study depending on those who read it. |

Ahhh but what about all those times I prayed to my penis that my loved one felt better? Does the fact that they got better demonstrate that my penis is God??? Please ... simple tools of logic. If you don't understand the basic fact that studies contain control groups then we aren't going to get anywhere. |

Ok, what's "scientific" about them?
PS note the date of the Kansas study. It has since been proven to be statistically erroneous. |

studies and life are too different things, but all the times that people do feel better after their loved ones pray in temples/churches or w/e cannot be explained by any study. |

Right, so it's equally plausible that people only get better because they pray to my penis. Actually it's a matter of fact, that my penis is more powerful than god. And you can't disprove me. |

Um, that statement speaks in "absolute" terms, which is the first problem.
There can always be an extreme case to prove or disprove theories and ideas.
You'd be very hardpressed to draw an accurate link between religion and intelligence(or lack thereof).
Having said that, those who are devout and hardcore about their religion are usually ... for lack of a better word ... "simple" citizens. |
