Stuff that might fit in:

E-Craig - Call It A Day
Mark Sherry presents Outburst - Vengeance/Live And Learn
Scott Mac - Free Me/Watch Out
Scott Mac & Simon Eve - Out There
Sander Van D. - Bling Bling
Soeder
Jesselyn and espessially Marcel Woods ad "tech-Trance remix" to many of their works, which one reason to think of it as tech-trance whitout sounding like oliver lieb stuff.
I've also always thought of Marco V as tech-trance and i think his style is more similar to Marcel Woods than Oliver Lieb. i view it as two different styles of tech-trance i think

we also have the Cirez D and Valentino Krz(can't spell that name) style.
what would u call that?
SquiLa
Bart Claessen - Playmo

^ This song's certainly a killer new example of tech trance. Gotta get it - it's released in 3 days!!

IMO: I see the trend of tech trance becoming a lot more popular, in demand and produced over the next few years. Along with electro trance too of course. Those electro-techy-dirty sounds meshed in with fast beats and some melody (allowed) feeds the revival of the 80's (80's kids now in their 20's and going at it). Going back to the era of the birth of computers and computer sounds that came with it - and electro-clash sort of stuff mixing with everything else.

Good sh*t.

Well, I guess your question implies that there are different kinds of tech-trance. For example, from personal opinion, I could classify the following as tech-trance:

F.Massif - Understatement
Marco V - C:\del*mp3
Oliver Lieb presents Smoked - Metropolis (Metro US Mix)
Carl Cox - Dirty Bass (Trevor Rockliffe Mix)

I'm not sure if artists such as P.H.A.T.T. or S.H.O.K.K. qualify as tech-trance but I think they are definitely hard trance producers with harder and faster beats. I'm not talking about that kind of trance here.

My kind of tech-trance is repetetive, has little or no melody, has mechanical and/or throbbing sounds, and may or may not have that Fred Baker snare on the 2nd and 4th notes. Total Blackout, Top Gear and Intruder are the best examples that I can think of. But maybe I'm wrong and those don't really qualify as tech-trance, you know?

If they don't then I really don't know how to classify those tunes, because they definately do not sound like ordinary prog or epic trance.

was there really any need to send that reply as a pm, btw?

Cirez D -> Tech House
Valentino Kanzyani -> Techno

I recommend Marco V - Indicator , a true Tech-Trance classic

Im ejoying tech-trance the now. But a lot of it is going through the same structures etc like a lot of the stuf off the Spinnin record label.

However gems like Playmo are dropping out every so often so i think its a good genre just now. However it seems that all the big DJ's wana play hard like this at the end of their set. I wonder where the skill in bringning the hard stuf only 2 lift it higher agian has went to

oh dear i'm afraid so.
you are what they call a whining cockboy today.
It's wankers like these that are a disgrace to the scene. Instead of supporting the most deserving of today's artists they go on a mindless crusade of 'back in the day'. Grow up you ignorant fool. There is lot of tripe these days i'll give you that but if you listen closely there's a lot of potential that you and me often tend to overlook.
Ste
outburst - live and learn
gleylancer - cingram

....have to be my faves from the past year

just shut the up twat when you don't know what to say.

the reason I critisize the so called "tech-trance" of today is that its mainly hyped because Tiesto plays it. I even heard a guy mentioning Traffic and Love Comes Again as tech trance. WTF?
Marco V did some excellent tech trance until like last 2 years? then he went mainly proghouse. Especially in his livesets.

I don't know how or care to classify everything ...
but
Hammer and Bennet - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech Mix)
has that nice techy sound to it.
Iceferno
I'm not entirely sure, but would this be classed as Tech-Trance?

Styles & Breeze - You're Shining (Dark Mix)
