Motu just came out with a new orchestra pack (8gb in size)
there is the Ivory piano synth
http://www.ilio.com/synthogy/ivory/index.html
and Halion strings
If you must go cheap for all this (like i did)
check out east-west symphonic silver
Also you may want at least a gig of ram to handle all this |

I have had Orchestral for years and love it. If you wanna hear how it sounds in other than classical music, check this MP3 I made with piano and string sounds from it. =)

edirol orcherstra sucks donkey nuts, its sounds sooo dated. comparing that to east west silver which isn't that much more, it blows it out of the water...the ivory piano synth is awesome, but very demanding on resources and very expensive for just piano. (at least i think)
when i start producing more seriously for media such as commercials/tv and possibly even lower budget movies to start off, i'm considering this CLICK
vienna symphonic library, the mother of all orchestras, eat your heart out john williams :haha: |

I'm told that 'The Grand' is THE best piano vst out there...From what I've heard it sounds amazing but I haven't used it myself.
I use a concert grand piano preset in SampleTank |
