I remember when gas prices were only 50 cents! I know they are calling for in inflation but c'mon they only raise gas prices because Gas is a must have thing and they know the people will buy it!
kabelicious
We were at $2.65 US per gallon (1 gallon = 3.7 liters) and it has jumped to $3.30 US per gallon of 87 overnight here. :(
Soundwerks

I cannot wait for there to be a gigantic protest flooding the streets of DC with millions of unhappy Americans demanding his resignation.

"Uh oh, the peasants are restless, Dad, what do I do?"

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

anyway, it'll match europe soon enough, so even at a dollar, i think it'll get higher.

aaaa NO!
because the only reason Europeans pay more is that their government taxes them more. Brits pay more tax on gas then the actual cost of gas.

The price per barel is the same worlwide, so its not like we get cheaper oil but it helps to be an oil producing nation.

The guy on BT was pretty animated saying that is just the oil companies gouging to make money. yeah 95% of the gulf is closed but its onlin likr 5% of what we use here....so if my math is right. (0.05*$1) + $1 does not equal $1.20

Meh, why do i complain, i dont drive. Just got my semiser bus pass yesterday

Oh yeah, its his fault:rolleyes:

Lets not blame under inflated prices, and stupidly high consumer demand over the last 30 years. Don't forget about the people buying SUVs, and pushing up the average consumption of gas, and increasing demand.

This has been a long time in the making.

It's 106.2 here now, I'm trying to live on my quarter tank, but I'll need to fill up before tomorrow night (headin to KW)... I hope it goes down a LITTLE BIT by then... I think the most I've ever let myself pay is 102 or something. If it's higher than that, I try not to drive. I let my sister fill it up lol

It was announced last night that most places in TO viscinity would be at around 115 or 116 today. Freaking RIDICULOUS. I wonder if it'll stay like this.
