ok basically things have change, due to a drug death at a different night at the same venue the place has stopped hosting club nights for the forseable future:

I probably wont be but if i'm back at uni before then i'll come along. Do you often DJ in sheffield? None of my uni mates like trance so i've not been able to find any clubs that play decent music regularly (gatecrasher simply put is a pile of crap). Even if it means going by myself i'm determined to go to more trance nights this year because i'm sick to death of going clubbing and listening to 'build me up buttercup'.
So in short if you could let me know by pm or threads in here of decent trance nights in sheffield i'd really appreciate it :) |

tbh there isnt much trance in sheffield atm, zogg provides a monthly helping of more techy trance with psy and techno. there is also fatmoon freeparties which are purly psy trance. other than that there is always the odd small gig in a pub that people put on, usually though these are on sundays which make it a bit awkward for working folks.
come along anyway, i go every month and dont do much else, its a good night. |

Firstly the answer to some FAQs that have cropped up recently:
No, there will be no Zogg in October, or November, or December…now that’s out of
the way…
As you probably all know, Planet Zogg is five this SATURDAY and we’ve
got the might ZEN TERRORISTS to help us celebrate. The ADELPHI is an amazing
venue not far from the city centre, and with your help we’re
going to well and truly Zogg it!!
This saturday will also be an extra special party as it’s the last Zogg
one for a long time…( Never say never )... but we’ve nothing planned after this
– so spread the word and get on down...
A quick summary for anyone who’s got better things to do than read long emails:

**LINE UP
There’s a few line up changes due to the date change. The ZEN
TERRORISTS will be rocking out in the main room backed up by Ed
Tangent, Ste Wilkinson, Sheldon Dearn and Dil & Greg Zogg. In the funky room
we’ve got AnnD, Dr Chill and JohnnyM plus some groovy
house from last minute, but very welcome, additions from long term Zogg friends
Col Garnett and Chris Smith (Scuba).
PLUS we’ll have some extra special performers doing their thang…
**FANCY DRESS
Its our birthday and the last Zogg until whenever – so, of course,
fancy dress will be most welcome. As ever, prizes for the
grooviest and most cosmic costumes!
Don’t be boring like our grey & black clad resident djs – wear something
outrageous!!
**DOOR POLICY
The Adelphi has a very professional door team, so expect degree of thoroughness
similar to that at .Zero.
As with all venues in Sheffield, if you’re blessed with youth full good
look, you will be asked for photo ID – so make sure you have some on you
(passport, photo driving license, Portman group ID etc)
**HOW TO GET THERE
The Adelphi is easy to get to - its on Vicarage Rd, just off
Attercliffe Rd, Sheffield S9 3RH. There’s a map at

BY TAXI
Its about a fiver in a cab from Sheffield City Centre.
BY TRAM/BUS
Catch the tram from Castle Square and get on the Yellow Route, this
drops you in Attercliffe about 2 mins walk away or catch
either number 69 or 130 bus on the Sheffield to Rotherham route and it
stops outside the Adelphi. These Buses start running again at 5am.
They leave sheffield bus station (The Travel Interchange) from stand C2
BY TRAIN
From Sheffield train station either use a taxi from directly outside
the station, costs about a fiver, or walk out the station and
across the road to the right there is the bus station.
BY CAR
FROM SHEFFIELD CITY CENTRE - Follow signs to Don Valley Stadium /
Hallam Arena approx 2 miles and the Adelphi is directly
opposite.
FROM M1-The Adelphi is 5 minutes from M1 Junction 34. Follow signs for
Don Valley Stadium (on either A6178 or A6109) and the
Adelphi is approx 2 .5 miles from the motorway.
**OTHER TINGS
A big thanks to everyone who has helped us over the last five years by
playing, helping out, or most of all just coming down and having a great time.
We've always put on the sort of parties that we'd like to go ourselves and
hopefully you've enjoyed them as much as we have.
