Already in some states along the Gulf like Arizona, New Mexico, California etc..it's $4 to $5 (even almost $6) a gallon. Here in Michigan it's anywhere between $2.99 and $3.50 and rising. Within two hours, I saw the gas go up $0.20 after my first day of one of my classes today. It is projected to be up to $4.50 or $5.00 by Monday, imagine what then what it will be on the gulf coast?

This Hurricane will eventually (and is) affecting the whole country and will continue to. More and more people i've talked to think we might be headed into a depression...and with two wars, unbelievable gas prices, and this unthinkable hurricane and an already teethering economy...this might be true. Another thing is diseases, as doctors i've heard on the news say that there might be diseases that these people might contradict that we haven't even heard of. With the people being moved out of the area (they have to...they have no choice), it might spread....disastorous...

Actually, wars help the economy.

heh, the thought hasn't even crossed my mind, I'm pretty confident we'll make it there, although a lot of the people are turning on Sven now

edit (bloody submit button)

now that the media have begun, so if we do fail one way or another, they can hound him out, happens every time

aye. my mate stef who's got the sluttiest/dirtiest mind ever didn't shut up about it for months, asking everyone where their mr grip was, and if she could do it etc.

But yeah, I have faith in them, they're the best we can do atm, and they're doing the best they can, and for that you can't ask anything else
