About the hurricane

As you all know there was a massive hurricane in New Orleans. I know If the red cross is asking for donations I'm totally there. I honestly think we should all pitch in for the red cross and help them recover from what has happend. Every penny counts.
Hope everyone will help out!!!!! |

| it never ceases to amaze me how companies try to make money off a disaster like this. i'm not talking about the red cross but the publishing company i work for. all our editors are scrambling to write articles for our various publications and the sales guys are busy trying to bring in as much advertising $$ as possible. here i am being harassed by all of them to make newsletters, do mass e-mail blasts and special updates to their websites etc.. remember, there’s always money to be made no matter what’s going on in the world. |

| It's pretty bad when companies do that type of stuff....... it actrually sickens me!!! but everyone can make a difference im going to donate asap after a night of partying af course! |

edit: I will definately be making a donation to the Red Cross. They are such an amazing organization and giving a donation is the least I can do to support these people who give their lives to save others. |

I think you're confusing Canadian Blood Services with the Canadian branch of the Red Cross. The former takes blood, the latter is the humanitarian organization. 2 different organizations. |

| Not to sound insensitive to the situation, but I think the US is a country that needs donations the least. Let their greedy government help them and send your money to a country that really needs help. |

I swear, if something like this ever happened you'd see countless ends of americans coming to help..
and stupid canadians would be like "oh, they just wanted to show they are our big brother & have to help" |

but ur talkin bout the US OF A here ...cmon...they are all good people....we HAVE to support New Orleans...
i mean...think about it...Mumbai, India, 500+ people died with the floods last month.....btu who cares...theres a whole thriving population to make up that loss right??? Every single american is precious...we cant lose them |

It's nice for give some reciprocation for a change when this country gives more than a lot of country's GNPs.
