7700 is for extreme gamers, the kinds that go to LAN parties. But its deff not something you can carry around everyday and everywhere. Also its power hungry..without it plugged into a socket.....the battery will take you as far as 30 minutes. So....you are better off |
WTF 30 mins :conf:

So....you are better off with the Alienware Sentia...cheaper...smaller...ripped down version of the 7700 with sleeker looks and yeah the logo that you want. :tongue2 |

Quick question....it seems that the Sentia has a Intel® Centrino™
I heard Centrino sucks:tongue2 Ok i really dont know much about lap tops :p But yeah!
But i think i might go with the Area-51m 7700 its pretty affortable....
Intel® Pentium® 4 520 Desktop Processor
Microsoft® Windows®XP Home Edition
256MB DDR2 at 533MHz
40GB 5400RPM
ATI MOBILITY™ RADEONX800 with 256MB of DDR3
24X CDRW / 8X DVDCombo Drive
17" Wide-view 16:10 LCD Screen
$2,000+
I think thats good enough for me
What ever happen i thought they had them in all kinds of colors.I wanted a neon Yellow one.:D |

| I would definitely get at least 512mb ram |

| i dont understand the desire to have the words most powerful laptop...because i mean, you'd be better off having a badass desktop pc, and having a decent laptop...then visa versa. |

Yes, thats the base configs. The one with colors was Area 51-m 5500's and Sentia. I would suggest to pump up RAM to 1GB atleast and also to go for a DVD-RW instead of the combo drive. |

My reason was:
I just moved in to the USA in March and needed one box that would do all and also save space on my desktop as I hate clutter and wires running about and something I could ocassionally move aroun with. And yeah being into I.T I wanted an extreme machine, though I agree I went overboard, but I love this baby. |
