If you can't take her to an EDM party, then have a little EDM gathering!
Get her to get some of her friends over, gets some alcohol (and a few pills for drink spikage) and just chill with them whilst listening to a couple of sets. If they like the music then they pass the test, if they don't like the music then the p00per must be breached. |

Honestly, if someone in your family wants to be a whiny doofus who wears too much in mascara, let them.
Trying at changing people to fit what you think they should be is ing selfish on your part and unfair to the other person.
Be an adult, let other people make their choices, if they find the choice is a mistake, then it is THEIR mistake, and they have to live by it.
This OMG I have to save them from the evil of being an "emo" by exposing them to an equally disfunctional subset of society (which the "EDM scene" is, frankly) is ing silly.
If people would just let other people be themselves the whole world would be a much more enjoyable place.

While that may seem to be the case, I am very glad someone introduced me to EDM, and it seems to me there is no harm in introducing new things to people. It would be bad if the guy kept forcing his musical taste on his cousin, but there is no problem in him simply introducing his music to him? |

lol. I merely showed her a couple of sites and introduced it to her. If she wants more she knows how to contact me. So I guess we shall see how it goes. I dunno if she is going into the music for the right reasons, either...
