I don't want to scare you off from going to the Techno Parade but there have been some years were thugs came from the suburbs downtown and would try and steal and annoy everyone to the best of their ability.
Girls have often been the targets :mad:

| Discovered a GREAT club here last night called Triptyque (sp?)... I will be there all the time in the next few months! Arc ambiance, mixed crowd, really great stuff... in a basement somewhere, really unpretentious. Everyone was dancing... two women called Les Putafranges were tagging and playing some sick techy stuff... unfortunately, they have the great track selection trick down, but my iTunes does a better job of mixing than they do... I mean really, how they get booked when everything is either a trainwreck or a total fade out, I don't know. The music was sick though. Then AVENUE D came on and performed live!! If anyone knows them, you can imagine how it was! :D Hilarious stuff, everyone went insane, it was a total death trap too, everyone crowd surfing and moshing to the sounds of "Shut up and stick it in" and "You love this ass" :stongue: |

BTW jdat, the Techno Parade was great fun on Saturday. :) I followed it around for 3 hours. People were going nuts and it was raining half the time... helloooo PVD @ Summerstage 2004! :crazy: But I definitely had some run-ins with those thugs you were talking about. I just got the hell away from anyone who looked shady and went to another truck.
AND I must add how unusually great it is to NEVER get carded at the door. Take that, USA 21+ laws! :D |

Aaaah. So jealous of your trip. Great to hear you're doing fine, though.
