honestly.. knowing that they deal with alot of .. (drug absusers) some of them are right.. theyr behaviour is understanfable..
they have always been super nice to me..i got the right help when i needed it.. |

I actually was able to avoid the bouncers for most of the night, which is unsual for me.
The only incident that I saw, was during Armin's set, when a guy got up onto the stage, the bouncer approched him and told him to get off, the guy procceeded to put his hands up like he was trying to explain that he had a right to be there(big mistake), bouncer said get off again, guy procceeds to yet again try and justify why he is on stage. The customer refused to get off the stage and wanted to speak with Armin, from what I saw. Guy gets carried of stage. It was noting too bad, the bouncer just grabed the customer in a kung-fu grip and took him to the back of the stage. |

I was there at LOL, having a good time. My buddy offered a guy a light show in the acid lounge, I gave him my glasses, and he sat down and was ready for the entertainment.

This is where I started to lose my cool...
Guy: "Nothing, I'm completely sober. Why can't he give me a lightshow"
B: "Because I know you're on something. Take those glasses off right now. If I see you with them again I'm kicking you out"
Or something along those lines. In the meantime I was dancing behind the bouner with a mouthpiece-glowstick, two bracelets and a necklace, glowling like a jack-o-latern.
The bouncer simply looked at me and walked away.
Now I don't know if this guy was the only incident, or if he was racist against the guy cause he was brown, but any thoughts on why he would approach someone and ASK them if they were sober when they were doing nothing wrong at all...
FYI: He was sober, didn't even drink the whole night. |

why do people hate lightshows soooo much... come on if something small like that bothers you in life... i'm surprised you can even walk around Toronto without getting into a fight. there are much worse things in life than lightshows lol relax a little. |

i encounterd this ty bouncer who wouldn't let me out to take my phone call.
and then there was this great bouncer who let me in to the dj booth to speak to Ali.
i do understand how they can be a bit much, the place was packed they had to be in control. |

| lightshows are alright, i dont get them myself, but i give them to tons of people in guv all the time, i just hate when i give someone a lightshow, then return their glowsticks, and like 4-5 more people come up and want one too, just let me dance please, or i'll start charging $5, haha. one time some gino guy was getin a lightshow from me, he was pure ed, and he leaned right into my fist as i swung it by his face and just cracked him one right across the jaw, then he just smiles and says "ya! keep going!" HAHA, that was awesome! |

Hah, see that's the thing. The bouncer looked RIGHT in my face and I stared right back at him and couldn't stop smiling, he just walked away.

Wow, that sounds a little far feteched even for Guv. The security at Guv is usually tight, but this year I think was probably the most laid back I have EVER seen them. The only time the bouncers were at all confrontational was when they were directing the crowd through the elaborate maze they had set up (which was still pretty organized considering the task they were given. |

| Yep, this year's LoL was just very cool in terms of most bouncers there. I mean when the guy checked my ID @ the door he even wished me an early bday, how cool was that?? :) |
