Abusive Bouncers at LOL

I'm sure other people had the same experience.

I was there at LOL, having a good time. My buddy offered a guy a light show in the acid lounge, I gave him my glasses, and he sat down and was ready for the entertainment.

Right before my buddy began the light show, a bouncer walked up to the guy sitting in the corner, and this is pretty much how the conversation went.

Bouncer: "You, get up"
"Why are you wearing those shades?"

Guy with glasses: "He was just about to give me a light show"

B: "So why do you need shades for? Take them off"

Bouncer then proceded to flash a light in his eye.

B: "What drugs are you on?"

This is where I started to lose my cool...

Guy: "Nothing, I'm completely sober. Why can't he give me a lightshow"

B: "Because I know you're on something. Take those glasses off right now. If I see you with them again I'm kicking you out"

Or something along those lines. In the meantime I was dancing behind the bouner with a mouthpiece-glowstick, two bracelets and a necklace, glowling like a jack-o-latern.

The bouncer simply looked at me and walked away.

Now I don't know if this guy was the only incident, or if he was racist against the guy cause he was brown, but any thoughts on why he would approach someone and ASK them if they were sober when they were doing nothing wrong at all...

FYI: He was sober, didn't even drink the whole night.

What did the dood look like?

I've had a bounder dood that looked like the big guy from Forest Gump nearly fist my face for not moving quick enough in the coat check line in Guv (but not at this LoL).

Every bouncer I interacted with was absoutely great. This was my first time at a big club so I really didn't know what to expect from the bouncers but they were all very helpful, though some cheerier than others. Sure they kept asking my group to keep moving or step off to the side but it's their job, and they did it in a very respectful manner. I got lost a few times and every bouncer I asked pointed what direction I needed to be going in. Hell if all bouncers are even have as good as the ones at LoL i really don't see why they have a bad reputation at all :p

See I don't think this was an isolated incident...
Some of the people I went with usually go up to bouners and just make retarded chat with them like "Having any trouble lately" and whatnot. Usually the bouncers just nod or give a friendly remark.
This time however they were completely rude, and it's the worst feeling when you're at a club like this..

On the other hand, the medics were awesome. I remember going to the washroom in KH and there was a medic surrounded by like 5 people and just talking to them. Hah, the expression in her eyes. I knew she knew what they were feeling, but she was there talking to them for about 30 mins or so.

And the bouncer what did he look like? Big, fat guy, who looks like the only interaction in real life would be reading this post on how dumb he was.

Well, I thought all the bouncers there that night were great. At least the ones I ran into. There was also this gruesome site.. that I wish I didn't see during Armins set... where the bouncers did rush/push me out of the way...but it was to save a life.:nervous:

some dude OD'.. looked 1/2 dead.. and so the bouncers were all carrying him into their back room. Paramedics were there pretty fast.. and when they took him out on a their "bed" he looked like he was in a coma... i can't explain it.. but it looked like he was frozen.. <--- like that. I thought they did a good job/decision with this guy... cuase I spoke with one of the bouncers I knew...and he said he saw that guy out by the back of the KH where the door was open... and he looked like a dog who was having a nightmare.. shaking..and twitching on the ground. Scary ... :eyes:

dont expect the niceness from LOL.
I was surprised. All of the ones who I encountered were nice, when typically they are NOT at all. *there are exceptions obviously*

i had a good experience with the bouncers
they were friendly, they actually smiled lol
i'm really used to very rude mucho looking bouncers in vancouver so this was very surprising to me. i saw some even dancing, that was kinda cool heh

i hope that was just one bouncer having a bad day
dittoalex
They did their job, some were more friendly than others. Worst thing I saw was when I got disoriented and started walking the opposite flow of traffic and the bouncer yelled "Hey buddy, can't you see everyone's going the other way?" Nothing too bad.
