I am quite fortunate in that I own a pair of trancey pants, so any time I need a "trance fix" I slip into them, crank up the volume and Its OI OI.. Lets av ya:eyespop:

My whole world revolved around trance for a nice large phase as well, it is a very addictive music which makes the name of this site appropriate, before google was popular (2000/2001, and yes I realize that google started in 1997) there were posts from kids who found this site by guessing the address. I have accumulated a very large collection of music(not so large as some other regulars here), downloading used to be alot easier. I still turn on my cd changer and play back pieces of my collection whenever I am near the thing, almost always some random song plays that I forgot about but still find enjoyable. I am one of thsoe lucky people who have never had their music collection stolen from them.

I have also collected alot of music. But I have no regrets about the musical path that I have chosen. I still gather music but not very much trance, for a variety of reasons. For one I wanted to get a better idea of the EDM scene at large, I found that my old view of it from high school was distorted and I wanted to be in touch with the crowd a bit better. But also, I realized later on that the specific sound that I had always been searching for wasn't really trance music. At the time that I became a trance addict I found that trance music was the thing closest resembling the sound that I was looking for, but after a while learning things I sorta got better at finding the sound I wanted. Alot of that initial addiction to trance came from me listening to as much as I could find hoping to find the sound I wanted, then starting to like unexpected things along the way.

My collection is still half trance/half everything else. I can't really imagine what my life would be like without the music I have accumulated either. It definately helped shape my personality as I grow up. I find that alot of music that isn't technically classified as trance has parts in it that appeal to people who enjoy typical trance music. I am not very worried about trance going extinct because stuff like that, those pieces of the music that are appealing can not possibly all vanish.

I am very lucky to have a gf who enjoys trance as much as I do, we have alot of the same stuff in our collections, but the stuff she has is a bit more "girlish" (the only word I can think of to describe it)

I suggest you listen to what you enjoy, dont think too much about how it is classified, try out unfamiliar stuff every once in a while to keep things interesting, and don't let any of the haters try and take what you like away from you.

Life without trance = Boring!

but If i lived somehwere and had no access to music, im sure I could live with it...

Can't live without it. Listen to it in my car, on my computer, mix it with my CDJs and MixMeister, and listen to it on the net as well, such as live DJ sets. I've been into it for seven years, and I really haven't gotten sick of it....yet, although I have gotten sick of those old skool trance riffs that are still sometimes used in songs (they were good then, but trance has evolved). I just prefer tracks now with beautiful melodies, either through pianos or guitars, and deeper, more progressive sounds overall.

I can't get any girls into trance. I tried in high school...it was mostly unsuccessful. It would be great to meet a girl into trance, if she didn't have a bf i'de love to date her...if only there was a girl out there like that....haha
