i like what he does and i think he has potential if people judge him by his music, not by his website.

i don't know what it feels like to work my ass off on producing music and post it on a website to find that people looked at the website but forgot the purpose of the website: music ... i can only assume

the thing is...

its good to produce music... but one of the first thing you wrote in your post was his website...

thats where it all starts..

and if it doesnt start good..

i wont be very interested in goin further to know the guy

think about it
ohyeah
Its bad to see new dj,like little experience working in big clubs, when djs who spin since maybe 5-10-15 years can't spin there or don't.
FunKenLouis
i know djs that have been playing for years and cant bring the party on...

and i know djs that have been spinning less then me and that can rock tha shizzle

its clear that youre trying to diss me with your indirect comments...

it doesnt affect me and i know that i deserve the spot i have...

i was lucky to get it... but i did whats good to keep it

simple as that

now get over it and come hear me play
ohyeah
all nights can be different ,have more crowd then other, sometimes the place can be empty ,just because of the dj,not enough promotion, weather, the place not enough attractive, the price, the music style and its normal. Even if you bring a pioneer dj,his crowd won't come to the club, just because he use to play somewhere else and they don't like the new club. For the new dj,there's always experience you need to get before reaching the top,its again normal, but if you are a lucky butt in the industry or know lots of big heads, your life is easier, its normal. If you want wear the hat,its because your concurned. I'm just talking here,i'm talking in general.

Yes, it's Gaby.

Phil and Mazen know him, he used to come to Aria with me all the time.

This is so weird, I played tennis with him all through cegep, and he used to be one of my best friends.

Hadn't heard from him for the longest time, until today.

Very weird. He's a really nice guy. I hope the best for him because he really likes what he does and he always worked hard for it.

Louis, no need to diss him.

Ciao.

no dissing him...

i know the guy too

im pretty sure hes very good... but no need to show-off like that

deejiuana showed me the website and some comments done on other boards... and at the same time.. this guy gets on the board and introduces him to TA...

wasnt a good time... cuz i found a little weird the way he was introducing himself everywhere...

sorry if i said something bad... ill give the guy a chance too

it's only now that this thread is starting to take the path it was created for.
well the only reason i created this thread is that i wanted to share my discovery of this talented dude. i aint no promoter nor a representative and i don't have the job of introducing people on forums neither. i just support what the guy produces and plays and i don't care whether he show's off or not as long as i'm pleased when i listen to his tracks... like him or not, it's a matter of personal choice.

if u think his ways of introducing himself are "un peu trop nul" or inappropriate, then let's hear it from you guys. but only after you try to put your self in his place considering the following:

- you have a very big passion for producing music and you're good at it
- you have been devoting most of your time to producing music for several years
- you dont have connections or know big names in the scene to get u a record deal
- and most importantley, you are trying to launch a progressive music album in a city that's mostly built on hippidy hop and R'n'B

perhaps more usefull replies other than mocking the way he describes himself as a "best kept secret" or "le meilleur progressive dj de montreal" would be suggestions that he might need to take into consideration for him to get what he deserves for devoting himself to electronic music that all of us here happen to like.
moreover, i think it adds some pride when a good track gets released by a producer from the same city as we are. but a good track can only escape the promo phase after it recieves positive feedback from DJs and crowd.

finally, i also think all of us are prone to showing off if a world class DJ plays
something we produced or even tells us that what we produced was a bomb. at least the guy is still a nice person and very helpful.

anyways guys, let's just take it easy on the guy and whoever likes his music can comment about it, i'm sure he can use comments coming from TAs in order to make better music.
i'm sorry if i had an inappropriate tone in my post, i don't mean to attack anyone's opinion or thoughts... i just wrote what i think is fair.
