Funabashi's leads are killing it these days. I absolutely love them !

If you havent heard one check out Hammer & Funabashi - Moments on the new Tiesto Essential mix, 3rd song on the mix.

My question to all you producers out there is what instrument is he using to get that sound ?

I tried out what Analog says below , didnt work :conf:

So Im going to post the sample now, see if there are any other ideas

the lead kicks in around 4:30

Hammer & Funabashi - Moments
DJ Shibby
Sample please.

I think its an JP-8080 thats been hooked up to an amplifer, dumped underwater and played into a condenser mic, then put through a vocoder and mixed with a crying baby sound, then burnt to a CD, licked by a few neighbourhood dogs, microwaved on high for 2 1/2 minutes witha plate of fries and then and put into a akai sampler..

But I may be wrong as I've never heard it since you didn't provide a sample.. so i could be "WAY" off..

Heh, what you're doing there isn't exactly legal ;) You could have just posted a small sample of the lead.

Speaking of which... I'd say it's a detuned saw with fast vibrato.

Sounds like a pretty standard sound that you can find in most softsynths =)

i figured that someone would complain about the track I posted, but this computer is a mess and I tried for about an hour to get the cut sample working. So to bad you just have to enjoy the whole thing, darn.

Dj shibby or anyone else want to take a stab at making this on any common soft synth ?
qiushiming
man if youre gonna post something like that mp3 in here...at least rename it so it doesnt have the ripper group on it
