Hi,
When you go to the Rank 1 site over here: http://www.rank-1.com/ a gorgeous dreamy pad will start playing. I really love it. Is anybody capable of recreating it? I don't think it's just JP8000, it sounds very airy, maybe FM was used? Anyway, I can't recreate it.
If you can recreate this, could you please post an mp3 demo perhaps playing the melody you hear or something. |

| I would bet they used Spectrasonics Atmosphere for this. :) (I'm not sure, but it's very likely) |

I don't think it's not a JP.
I would've guessed FM too, but not even sure it's hardware. Many software instruments can produce this kind of sound.
BTW, it's layered. There's a "Oooh" choir in the background playing some note and a synthesized sound in the forground.
Try Albino 2, Atmosphere or maybe z3ta+ mixed with some choir samples. |

| I've never played with a JP8080, but this certainly doesn't sound like one =P It's some type of FM/bell synthesis, and could be easily recreated with Spectrasonics Atmosphere and Virsyn Cube to name a couple. |

Just sounds like a, jp8000 supersaw pad w\ no cutoff, and a choir sample
should be able to do it with Reaktor Infection synth and a high choir sample |

These were my thoughts exactly. I was about to reply to this thread with what you said word for word. Thanks for saving me the energy.

Many here mention Spectrasonics Atmosphere, but does Atmosphere have choir sounds? The patch list for it on the Spectrasonics site doesn't mention any as far as I can see. Anybody can tell me if Atmosphere has choir sounds or not?!
PS: I would appreciate an mp3 demo if Atmosphere has choir sounds (like used in the Rank 1 site song)!
Thanks! |

No, it's not a JP80x0. I got a JP8000 and the sound in question doesn't even have a saw element to it. |

Atmosphere doesn't have a demo, so if it does have choir patches, could you and anybody else who has Atmosphere please post mp3 demos of them, otherwise that doesn't help me very much! It's a production forum, so please be helpfull, it doesn't take that much effort. Thanks to anybody who can help! :)
PS: if you have no upload space, you can use yousendit.com. It's simple to use in case you don't know.
Thanks! |
