Backing up my majority rules post, and you said it yourself.

And I only think this thread will get locked if things turn nasty.

Hence why I am working my passive-aggresive posting to the max. ;)

I disagree.

Many of you're replies come across as rather self-centred and rude (see self-harm thread).

You respond frequently in an aggresive manner.

You make up 'facts' to support your 'retorts'.

There's a saying, majority rules (same reason why Tiesto is the 'number one dj'), and well, the majority have long had a verdict on your behaviour.

*attempts in vain to get a piece of pineapple out of his teeth* :(

I often give this advice. If you don't like a user, or you find their posts too inane for your tastes, the ignore list is always an option. I'd love to see the ignore button added to the bottom of every post, similar to the profile and pm buttons.

But that doesnt solve the issue, it merely hides it.

Is the betterment of forum members not a worthwhile goal?

Well said.

Btw, it is possible to quote multiple people in one post, and is even more useful when those quotes are being responded to with 3 words or less.

In my opinion, it's the fairest option.

Good and bad are subjective. A group of people might rather a user be banned, or a feature be added, but that does not make the forum worse or better. There are some forum rules that should not be broken, but I don't feel that simply being an idiot, posting to annoy others, or pissing off the COR veterans is ample enough reason to ban someone.

I think an increased ignore option would be extremly helpful. I find that most of the time, the people who are called for to be banned's posting is perpetuated by the attention of people who are basically saying, "I find your posting so bad that you don't have the right to post here". However, unless they break any of the official rules, they should continue to be allowed to post, one of which is often: Dont be rude. Additionally, after a review of the forum home page, the FAQ, and a forum search, I was unable to find any official rules. Id love for someone to link me to them. By increasing the functionality of the ignore list, the site increases the ability of each user to customize the forum.

Short version: There should be official rules and if they're broken, the offender should be banned. Otherwise, an increased ignore feature could be added to help each user decide which user's posting bothers them that much that they put on their Moderator hat.
