I went into the concert somewhat of a U2 fan and came out a Dashboard Confessional fan. Really enjoyed this opening act.
Was anyone else there last night? |

I wish I had been there.
Dashboard Confessionals are a great band. First CD I heard from them was over a year ago. Would be nice to see them live |

I'm really jealous of this period.. first of all for you going and second of all for you going just as "somewhat of a u2 fan".. do you know what I would have done to be at their show?? I *HEART* U2 bigtime :(

I wish I was there.
I've never seen U2, and I deserve so for a guy who remembers his siblings playing even pre Unforgettable Fire records. (War, October...)
The mighty Graham McCullaugh called me and me made me hear on the phone Sunday Bloody Sunday and Pride.
It made my hairs on my arms stand, and I hear Bono and the whole ACC sing along.
e, i should have been there. |

I really enjoyed all of the older stuff that they played last night from say Achtung Baby and back but I wasn't really overly impressed by the rest. I think I expected greater things from all the hype I heard from my friends who never miss a U2 show. I was a big U2 fan way back in the day but haven't really cared for anything after Achtung. I suppose if I had seen them when I was I would have been moved alot more by the performance. No denying though that Bono and the boys are OUTSTANDING performers. Sound was great (I'd recommend ear plugs though...my ears are still ringing), light show was awesome and you really have to respect what they all do as voices for the causes they support.
You might want to disregard my review and look to someone who was there and who is a die hard fan. I know I am in the minority when it comes to most bands and their popularity so please don't take offense to my review. I believe one cannot really review a show properly if they are not a true fan. So take mine as a mere comment from someone who was there and not really a true review ;) |
