I love my set up...

I was never a purist cuz I started mixing digitally with Atomix and CDJ's have brought new meaning to my life! Before I use to use a digital controller for PCDJ Red along with my cdj's and turntables. but now I just use my cdj's and turntables cuz the mp3 mixers are not that accurate. I would say that I use my cdj's about 70% of the time though.

I find it funny when DJ's are bad mouthing CDJ's or any digital format. To me that just shows pure ignorance. To be honest there is nothing cool about only spinning vinyl. and I hate it when people get some idea in their head that they will abandon vinyl for cd's. Why can't we all just get along and use both in a happy world. If I can get a track on vinyl I will but sometimes you just can't. Also, you can get a track much earlier on MP3 then vinyl most of the time and I just love to play music. This poll will run for a few days but I was just wondering where alot of people stood on this topic cuz lately I've been getting some remarks from people that insinuate that playing anything but vinyl is not cool. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! No doubt that vinyl looks cooler then a cd but the focus of DJing is not format. If it is to you then sorry you are limiting yourself to your cash flow and accessibility to music and YOU WILL NOT GO FAR!

The End

It is because you have never sat down and really worked with Ableton Live! or actually done a set with CDJ's, or Final Scatch, or Serrano Scratch. Educate yourself on the issues man!

seriously though, who argues that djs that don't use vinyl are lame? i wish i had cddjs for all the above reasons. sometimes you just can't get tracks on vinyl, and you can always get on mp3 first. i'm getting a cdj-800 in 2 weeks. yes...just one...because i am le broke :(
