Live, like any instrument or tool, is something you can read through over and over and examine ad nauseum, but the real beauty is developing a technique. BT has his, as do Zabiela, Sasha, and even PvD. In time so will I.
My best suggestion: AROUND WITH IT 'TILL YOUR FINGERS BLEED. Learn the ins and outs of that application by discovery, THEN read up.
I've been using this for nearly two years now and it's made LEAPS and boundaries since when I started. If I could learn using nothing but AIFF loops and triggers, I'm willing to bet you could train your pet hamster to use it. |

you can around all you want and will get nowhere
because when it comes to some concepts, they must be understood, and are not only a this button does that solution
in other words
read up on some signal flow for studios and mixers...
and you'll be on your feet when it comes to ableton,,its one of the simplest programs
or
search ableton live 4 POWER

yes but those concepts are quite generic in terms of all production/PA software, u have ur LFOs, ur FX, ur bars, Beatslicers etc etc
these things are what one would really need a course on rather than understanding a program only.
several schools offer such courses, few months long. Trebas being one of the most popular (dunno why...) |

Go through the tutorials. They are quite good, especially the ones for version 5. |
