Crowd Pleasers...

What dance songs do you feel elicit the most emotion out of audiences? What sequence of songs develop the best build-up and climax? Does anybody else notice that crowds (general audiences, not edm heads) just eat up tech-house and the benassi sound, or is that just me?

There's just that certain type of sound made for big rooms/concerts. Ex: The "Total Blackouts", "Top Gears" "Advanced's" "Playmos" of the world are dancefloor killers that mess with your mind through the crazy basslines they employ.

I have yet to see a crowd react poorly to Ferry's rock your body...unless you count "edm heads" who roll their eyes when they hear it cueing up because he should have retired that song two years ago...but then five seconds later we're all like o-/< o-\< o-/< like everyone else :stongue:

Infusion - Do to you (in 82)

By the middle of this tune EVERYONE is singing along.. and its so beefy!!

Ive also seen Pete Martin Vs. The Beatles - Dear Prudence absolutely light the house on fire just because of how great slide's remix of it is and how universal the beatles are... changed my entire night!
LWA
JPS "Found an Angel" - the mashup of PvD vs Rachael McFarlane's "Lover" - The 2 tracks were huge on their own, and put together, there's even more dancefloor action.

Faithless "Insomnia" anyone?? Obviously.

Axwell "Feel the Vibe" - MASSIVE FUNKY HOUSE!

to the average crowd, any classic tracks will make the crowed jump up and down and freak out as though god himself had put it on

William Orbit - Adagio For Strings (Tiesto Mix)

dont know, seems like everyone's heard the tune so its quite popular

You must be one of those people that forgot that going out means having fun :p

I know that it is more shallow, but noobs (general audiences) just tend to eat up the stuff that edm vets such as yourselves usually scoff at, of course this isn't always the case. Hence the thread.

hahaha, be kind, be kind.

I think this year it has to be Lyteo (Rank 1 remix). I haven't seen a major set this year without it in it and without it being the song people rant and rave about. I have a feeling it will replace Adagio.

How about the benassi sound, anybody know of similar songs to that not by him?
Dj Ahter
once upon a time there used to be "Lethal Industy"...
I don't feel like remebering the producer though :P:stongue:
