| Hey fellow TA members! well, I was hoping to see a DJ come down to Toronto and hear his live set, perhaps The Guvernment wouldd be the best place for it, but i think it would need the promoter to arrange such event. Anyone know who i may talk to in regards to bringing Mr. Sam over for a gig??? i emailed him before and he asked me to find a promoter here locally to bring him over, but i dont know where to start! any help please??:conf: |

you wont be getting into guv... so dont even try.
perhaps some smaller venues around town. Look into the underground warehouse parties that go on in town or maybe throw a party of your own and bring him in. |

well its the big leagues in the clubbing world. before you get there you have to work your way up through the minors. You know what i mean?
Ive seen it myself. They probably get about a dozen mix tapes/cds a week in that place. |

if you want to see a guest dj who nobody seems to be bringing in then throw a party yourself.
Why? Because if you really think the guy can draw a crowd then not only do you get to hear him, but u also make some $$ at it. |

thats not a bad idea, and i've been suggested that. unfortunately im not in the scene as some may be, and at the moment dont have the means to do it, if i did, i would. its why i was seeking some promoter that through events for trance and house DJs maybe even at the Republik perhaps, i dunno, at least maybe i can get some more info just to get the ball rolloing even :S but thatnks for the insight nevertheless!:gsmile: |
