i think the military convos always get touchy b/c im in the Army...
hell i think its retarted and i think Bush is a moron... but its a nice paycheck and i have unmatched job security... they give me over a month off every year.. and any holiday is a 4 day weekend...
plus im never behind a desk... (well almost never..)
most of TA is anti Bush and anti military...
ok the iraq thing sucks.. but what job doesnt have its drawbacks.. |

im in no way anti military zewad.. god knows we need the military . i myself though couldnt see myself going to fight in another country , alot of times for reasons we the people really dont even know . im not gonna go to another country and take whats theirs just because we are the big , bad united states.. now if the ******s decided to come to my country and with me here than it would be a different story .. but i seriously cant see me dying for causes that in reality we have no clue if they are the true reason we are dying for or not . i grew up loving military life and weaponry and am good at all that . but when i matured and realised all the lies behind alot of the going on , i said that !! ill defend my country and my family to the end "HERE" on my soil !! but theres no way in hell im going to another country thousands of miles away to kill soldiers like myself that have nothing to do with the lies and greed of the top polititians !

Zewad dont gt me wrong. I respect for what your doing not many people have the courage to do what you do. I respect every single man/woman that wears the military uniform of our country. Our soldiers are doing a service to our country, dont get me wrong i am not anti military here i was just against the fact that someone stated that we must join the military for at least 2yrs thats all, i am not against a country having a military, countries need it to defend themselves.
Interesting comment you made Zewad about the farmers putting up bombs. So heres a question to you, The insurgency abiously is having confrontation with you guys, from my understanding the insurgency does not have a uniform to indentify them, so when you have someone shooting at you guys do you see that individual as part of the insurgency or as lets say as a normal iraqi citizen that just dosent like the U.S and sees them as occupiers? I think that there is enough commotion reagarding insurgents, but what we dont hear a lot is how not only the insurgency is in the struggle to kick the U.S out but also iraqi citizens that are still loyal to saddam, so how can the soldiers distinguish who is who? |

doesnt matter their motive..
if they shoot at us then they are bad guys... insurgents or farmers or george bush... somebody holding a gun shooting at me ill shoot back..
and ive never gotten anybody wrong... i understand everybody is pro-military and understands why we need it... but not everybody is pro-signing up for military..
its not the courage to do what i do.. its the stomach to endure a year in Iraq away from home is the hard part..
if i could do what im doing in Florida with even more shots being fired at me id do it...
and since ive been in Iraq i've gone on patrols over 100 times shot hundereds of rounds of artillery... but nothing has happend to me... i havent even been with a patrol thats even fired a warning shot...im like the good luck charm over here... and im 20min outside of baghdad.. im not on some cush job in kuwait serving potatoes or anything... |
