That was en one hell of a party...
Course played Moby - Raining again when it started pissing down at about 1, everyone was dancing in the rain going nuts, then it kind of got cold lol Found a spot undercover didnt move from there for the rest of the day...
How funny was Kaz james with that guitar, so sad lol
Heaven Scent tore the roof...
Fatboy slim i felt got a bit sloppy but then sanchez came on played it up...
Its one hell of a sight that hill and everyone going crazy...
Rain hail or shine, summerdayze is definitely the biggest and best party in melbourne for the year... |

The rain was ed! Got soaked as, Tall pall was good, good to hear stellar and heaven sent and vitalic etc.
Fat boy slim's needle kept on skipping, his mixing was average, he kept on cutting!
Rodger was a good closing set, great cheesy house stuff, AMAZING mixing and great way to end the night with Basement jaxx!
Where were you all the night Paulie!!!!!!! |

what a day...
arrived there at about 11:30, set ourselves up under an umbrella in the main grass area.. wandered around aimlessly for a while.. saw the usuals and pretty much had a non existing time of it.. Compound and Jeremy K played some real big classic tunage - Meet Her At The Love Parade and some others too
It started absolutely piss pouring with rain next, so a quick dash for ponchos was required as thongs a tshirt and shorts was not really appropriate.. met Guy Ornadel for a bit before his set and had a chat.. it was disgusting weather and pretty much disgusting music before Ornadel took over the decks as Jewelz was blasting out horrendous tripe.. Guy took over the decks as Jewelz finished with Born Slippy... God Damn he was sensational... Guy Ornadel played the best ever trance set i have ever heard.. I think that Stipsy, Queen_Vee and JulesPLees will beable to attest to this.. whoever saw that main play saw the best ever driving trance set you will see..
Neo & Farina - Binary Refined
Ronald Van Gelderen - Sustain <-- OMFG
Moogwai - The Labyrinth (Vicious Circles Remix) <- i think
as well as a heap of other tunes that were just off the wall.. if any of you other guys can help bridge the gaps, then that would be just awesome..
Anyay, the set was going along just sensationally, and im like i gotta hear Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip.. so me and jules start yelling it out to Guy and sure enough he sees us, and then says, "yeh, pistolwhip".. and BOOM! the next tune he mixes in.. Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip... i cannot believe how much that tune went off.
it was trance the way it used to be, driving, uplifting, fun and just more fun.. the rain didnt dampen spirits and we had a blast!! whoever missed this set, missed out unfortunately..
the rest of the day was cool.. wandered around freezing, trying to stay warm and relive the Ornadel set.. nothing else really stacked up.. F.B.Slim was a disgrace and left after that..
hopefully the tracklisting will beable to be filled in abit as we go along..
WOW!!
Happy New Year |
