I havent read everyone's posts, so these facts might be repeated but from what I saw on pulse24.com and Global News tonight:
- The two families have had past disputes over their connecting driveways.
- The murderer actually turned himself in "so no other person of interest would be wrongfully convicted." I heard this quote directly from his lawyers mouth. Its kind of ironic that he would have the decency to do that, but... can commit murder?
SOME PPL ARE FACKED UP!
I swear, growing up hearing about all these girls being murdered - (Cecilia, Kristen & Leslie, Jennifer Teig and Alicia to only name the first few that come to mind) is going to make me the most overprotective mother out there. I'm terrified to become a parent!

| Weird thing I read the other day as well, is that everyone thought it was the boyfriend who did it. Now that everyone knows it wasn't him, he's still not welcome to the funeral. What's up with THAT! The mother is supposively upset that he didn't co-operate with police better. He wasn't involved!! How could he co-operate better? I think that's such a shame the mother would be like that. She supposively was still attached to Alicia's ex boyfriend and didn't like the new one so "hey let's not invite him to his own girlfriends funeral" Nice. |

Yea, based on teh facts as I know them, thats complete bull from the mother (and father?). Un-freaking-believable!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

I'd like to take moment today to remember Alicia and light a candle in her memory.
It's been one year today since Alicia didn't show up at the office. I'm experiencing all those emotions again... We miss her. Her parents came to the office to chat with us today over lunch hour, and they are doing ok, as well as most of us, but none of us have forgotten. We never will.
So I just want to say a message to everyone, that we shouldn't wait for a tragedy or a chilling experience that hits close to home to realize how fragile and short life is. We are not invincible, tragedy can happen anywhere at anytime. Live life to its fullest, love your neighbours, cherish the simplest things in life, and pursue your lives with meaning... it's too short to waste.

I'm so sorry that this hit close to home for you AJ...
I probably won't be able to understand what you're going through...
But I know it's something one shouldn't even experience in the first place...
Amen to what you said...we must try to remember and celebrate her life instead on dwelling on how she left us...
When I first heard about this, I couldn't believe that such a thing would happen (goes to show that you're not even safe around your home nowadays)...it really disgusts me that one could do such an act despite their justifications for it!
RIP Alicia...and hopefully justice will be served... |

Absolutly disgusting. I just read the thread about the mother who turned her 9 year old into a junkie and now this. Totally agree with you Ryan...it's almost embarassing to call myself a human being when people do this.

I still can't get over that you actually worked with her AJ! that's sooooooooooo close to home it hurts! I used to live in Aurora too, I wonder what school she went too, and whether or not I went to school with her! Williams:? Anyways, I know of another girl from high school that is supposedly still missing! I am having a mind blank right now. . . can't remember her name for the life of me!
