Sorry for the late post, but Friday night was simply an amazing time full of energetic music! OF course, Nu-NRG didnt hold back and really seemed to be enjoying themselves..

Adding to the tracklist:

Active Sight - Tears of Joy (Nu NRG Remix)
Second Sun - Playground (Nu NRG Remix)
Nu NRG - Natural Thinking
Nu NRG - Connective

Nice seeing all the old school TA's like Arturo and Pyro...

Na, i didn't go because i didn't know when it was going down and after asking on this board when it was gonna happen nobody was nice enough to give me a date. Bro.. when did you get into EDM? and don't say that you've always been because i've known you for a couple of years... on and off but from the moment i met you you didn't mention anything about it, DDR was ur life.

hehe... I have been into EDM since High School, just not hardcore. It was just recently that I started going to clubs and really getting into it.

But yo, you going to see AVB this Friday?

Here are some of the better pictures I took. The album will probably go down in a day. The site I used doesn't offer alot of hosting bandwidth.

I also have 100mb of halfway decent video if anyone wants to host it.

Well what can I say...There are actually no words to describe the awsome power of music in the right hands. I mean it can really move the world.

Perry was exceptionally good. I have heard quite a few of his sets and he delivered a very nice progressive trance opener with our hands up in the air towards the end. What was even more appealing about him is how much he was himself into the set. I dont think he stopped moving behind the decks for the entire duration.

NU NRG...Well words cant describe how it feels to hear your favorite kind of trance LIVE. I already forgot just how good the boys are working for a living. I mean the place was mental for the entire duration of the performance. It also helped how their equipment was set up, from the side it looked like they were playing right in the middle of the club surrounded by people. Thats a rush boys and girls. BTW I dont think they played Dreamland (in response to someone on this thread).

M.I.K.E.----Well M.I.K.E. is just a messiah of trance in my opinion. I really dont understand how people didnt like his opening "remarks" It was pure minimal. And I have a surprise for you minimal is todays MAXIMUM. I was looking forward to his opening because I expected to hear some mimimal stuff. And it was amazing. But nothing prepared for the onslaught of dutch techno with absolutely blinding DK's "Murder Was The Bass" Umek's rerub. I mean that was just simply WOW. The peack moment was of course Silver Bath. I dont think I actually ever heard it live and LIVE should be the only way to hear these types of tunes. I mean it is tingling in my spine even now 3 days later when I remember that moment.

Now to the bad sides. Despite the rennovations and improvements in Spirit that actually go very nicely (the soundsystem is loud enough to be heard probably in NJ) the subwoofer levels...WAYYYY TOOO MUCCCHHH BASSSSSS. Some of the tracks you couldnt even hear the mids or the highs in both Perry's & M.I.K.E.'s sets(and I beleive that is why some people didnt like MIKE's opening tracks).

And another MOST FRUSTRATING THING IS:
PEOPLE(We ALL KNOW WHO THEY ARE): the ones that migrate through the club because they are too F*^&#D UP to actually stop, chill and just dance...NO YOU HAVE TO WALK AROUND THROUGH THE WHOLE FREAKING MESS OF PEOPLE STEPPING ON EVERYONE's FEET!!!!! Other idiots that get together in pairs (in Spirit there were actually CIRCLES OF THEM---CIRCLES!!!!!!) and start shaking each other just knocking people left and right, taking up valuable danceable real estate, and just being rude and off their nuts. Get a hotel room, blast music and shake each other until your balls fall off!!!!! GOD I HATE THESE TYPES!!!!

Other than that, overall a tremendous night for NYC in terms of trance. I actually do not remember a line-up that good, that cheap for a long time.

BTW the grey-haired dude at the door was John, he is actually a head of security in Avalon, ex-cop and a friend of Peter Gatien. LOL. It is funny we actually bet with my friends that John (who has been with Limelight since it is open) will actually be burried there. He is just always there...

yea it was nice seeing the old school TAs out and about. my question is, how many freakin parties do i see you guys at? suneel, pyro, enigma, sal you freaks are always out. well suneel don't come out for unless its pvd (whore) and pyro well pyro i see all the time - also the official walking meet up spot for all you newbies who don't know lol, tom is always bouncing, and sal? well he's a met fan he don't get no love hahahah jk. where was vernon? i saw a glimpse of the wackness couple darude and alice deejay but other than that there it's fairly dead. i mean i got there at like 12 and it was empty as fock. i kinda wondered what the was i doing there - reality is that you? maybe we are just getting too old for this scene don't you think? heh
