Awesome to dance it up with the familiar faces for sure! Kelly! It was like old times for sure! Friggin loved it! Friends forever, love you always!

Almost didn't make it there on that night, so first and foremost my thanks goes out to Mona for shakily (hehe, you know I had to ) driving us to System and back. This was my first time at System Soundbal, and boy did it go beyond my expectations. The sound system was kicking - so much of that craaaazy bass. It wasn't hot AT ALL. There was a ton of space to really get your groove on pretty much everywhere. The crowd was great too - no steroid monkeys, no sweaty guys with shirts off, no creepy old guys (except for that one Asian dude that was standing on the right side, slowly ripping his shirt off for a duration of a good hour at least); basically just normal people doing nothing but enjoying the music. The fact that it was a much smaller venue gave it of a much more 'homely' vibe, as by the end of the night you'd recognize people wherever you were, even if you didn't actully *know* them. For some reason, it didn't feel like everyone's a stranger, which is usually the vibe I get at bigger clubs. The DJs were in clear view from almost everywhere on the dance floor, which is a plus too. The ONLY thing I noticed that didn't quite measure up to the Guv were the lights and the nitrous machine (although i don't think anything in TO can beat Guv's nitrous machine).

On to the music: this was my first only-Techno-the-whole-night experience as well (popped two cherries in one night, w00), and it was ing banging. Being used to Trance, it was certainly something different, and I'm glad I tried it out. In general, sooo much more energetic than Trance - after only 4 hours of Techno, I was pretty much spent, unlike the 8 hours of Trance that it takes me to feel the same way. Jelo was great - awesome buildups, awesome breaks, awesome pretty much everything - he's as much a performer as he is a DJ, and it was great seeing him getting so into the tracks he was laying down. Since I'm not much of a Techno-head, I can't really say who was better, Jelo or Chris Liberator - both their sets were just great. One thing I can say, however, is that Chris Liberator was going absolutely insane towards the end of his set, especially versus Unabomber. In-ing-credible. By this time, my legs were cramping up pretty much everywhere - feet, thighs, knees, and everything in between. It was pain to dance, and I didn't care (well, I tried not to, because I was well aware of the pain), especially when Unabomber dropped Smack My Bitch Up. What a ing amazing track to end your night on. Couldn't have asked for more.

After yesterday, I can say I WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK TO SYSTEM.

P.S. It was nice meeting you Magicb, although I saw many other familiar faces. I think I was introduced to Lindsey too, although I have no idea who she is.

Awesome night, nice to see everyone and just be back at systems after a long absence. I think I was liberated last night!

Everything was perfect except for the girl dressed in white flailing all over the dance floor. She totally flung her arm in my face several times, so I may have 'accidentally' elbowed her while dancing. :p

Nice seeing all the TA's, it was a really good vibe all night. Jelo was awesome too, and I really liked the breaks room.

Sweet, sweet night hope everyone had a great time.

failsafe
can anyone ID the last track liberator dropped in his solo set? It was the one with the story line about someone spending a night in london and doing different drugs and listening to techno music.
