Blank & Jones @ Metropolis 10/1/05 Review + Pics

This new club Metropolis...the name suits it well. It is like a city...5-6 different rooms, all different layouts/themes, each with its own DJ and own method of access (a different color wristband for each one.)
The room name given for where Blank and Jones would spin in their first ever South Florida Apperance was Prophecy.
The opening DJ, whoever he was played lots of prog (the slow type) and TIMMEH, uh I mean, house. He played only a handful of good songs, but butchered them by playing with the pitch autistically low.

Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (Gabriel and Dresden remix) (I'm NOT calling it that 12 step remix cuz that remix name is autistic as .)
And finally at 2AM, Blank and Jones came up to the booth. They got into the set REAL nasty and hard, hella fast. The room went wild. Songs included:
Blank and Jones: Perfect Silence (E-Craig remix) Mel went out of her mind when this song came on.
Filo & Peri - Closer Now (Whiteroom remix) OH YEAH
Kevin - All in my mind (Original mix) <- I ID'd this right away. I'd heard it off of Blank & Jones' set from Innercity 2004 and have loved the song ever since. Just amazing.
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Blank and Jones remix)
^This mix sounds better than the Thin White Duke mix to me for sure.
NU NRG - Dreamland
Underworld - Born Slippy
And the last song, and me and Mel's Song of the Night......
Blank & Jones featuring Elles De Graaf - Mind of the Wonderful.
I got plenty of pics and some videos. This was a fun (but sober) birthday party for me. Many, many thanks to Natalia for dinner and my birthday gift, and great seeing tranceman_23 and his wife, Mel, Eric, Relik, Doug, Maribel, Renzo, Manny, Ben, Leo, Charlie, his wife, Michael Warren, Felicia, Victor, and everyone else for making this such a festive time, albeit a PAINFUL one. My feet are killing me. Pics to come in the next post...but not too soon, my brain is mush. All in all another smashing night, can't wait for Marco V @ this fine club.

Leeor, I think you mean "signature," not "profile." We got there by 10. Being at Metropolis early is crucial, since Mel told me the line outside was massive.

omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg! Where the FUK do I start?
Blank + Jones fuking rocked it sooooooooo NASTY last night! This fuking club is amazing! I still can't believe I heard some TOP Quality tunes last night and all because of this new club! It's def going to be my favorite especially with the rest of the talent they are bringing. I know for a fact that B + J were probably way better than Armin @ Labour of Love... cuz they did the same things last night ... but experiencing them LIVE is sooooooo fuking INSANE! Those guys interract with the crowd for EVERY... EVERY single song! And i'm not talking about *clap clap clap* or *jesus pose* for 3 seconds. I mean a GOOD 50% of the song they were singing along.. pumping their fists in the air just smiling and having a great time!

i NEED more blank and jones... they are one of the best dj's i have ever seen... they were controlling the crowd with their music and when they would be up there dancing

sorry to hear u didnt get in BUT
come on man 2 o'clock :rolleyes: and u had no girls with u. that aint the clubs fault, if you've lived in miami for more than 10 minutes u know u cant do that at metropolis or anywhere else ESPECIALLY when there is a big name dj there.
But on another happier note
HOLY BALLS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those motherfukers destroyed the place start to finsh pure energy all the way, they DEFINITELY r worth seeing again.
